you know i used to be the copy girl at workand i was friends with all the other little copy girls and boys... they were really nice to me and we went out afterwards and had curly fries and ranch and fucked around with the salt and pepper shakers... but i guess i made my copies too good... my correlating skillz ruled the rest of them and then i got a promotion... i no longer had to make copies for the higher ups... now i got to answer phones and be nice to people on the phone... because i got to be nice on the phone i think i made alot more people happy, just because i got to spread my lovin over the phone lines... it's harder to spread lovin through the xerox machine... but then one day i walked by the copy kids and i asked them if they wanted to go out afterwards and they said no, because i had sold out... that my promotion was fucked up and that they didn't want to hang out with anyone that had moved up in the world. it hurt my feelings because i didn't think i had done anything wrong... after all, the extra money i got was able to make it so i could move out of my old apartment into a nicer one... and i was able to get a cool new pair of sneeks and an awesome new boom box to keep on my shoulder. i guess you have to remain poor and old skool to not be a sell out... my fucking parents sold out... and i have too... fuck you for selling out, take no raises... upgrade nothing you sell out motherfuckers *snuggs* love and fisting, leigh

>minutesblahapart from them being on MTV!, they expressed >WANTING >to be on TRL every secondi dunno...did anyone else see that? um, I saw that show. I think your confusing that whole conversation where the new guy said something along the lines of "Oh, I though you guys might be too cool to be on this show" and they replied by saying how they always wanted to be on 120 minutes. I don't remember a single thing being said about TRL. So, no need to be concerned. All is well. You can sleep now. Emily __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Re: [MMouse]: expressed concern
120 mins isnt that bad, promise ring was on there as well, and they sometimes play a refused video here or there. so what im saying is maybe you shouldnt equate 120 mins with selling out. Get Up Kids are indeed getting rather popular, but no more than your pavements or your built to spills. if they get more poppy, so be it. Plus with their growing popularity they are doing some damn good things on the side, Heroes and Villians (their label) has put out some good music in the past couple months, i cant seem to get anniversary out of my stereo or my head. so there is my argument supporting the GUK. Now here is the one thing i must complain about -When the played here in philly earlier in the year they rolled up to the First Unitarian Church in a grand ole tour bus. Most bands on major labels dont have tour buses, whats up with that? -- Dustin "keep your lamp light trimmed and burning" -- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: [MMouse]: expressed concern >Date: Tue, Mar 7, 2000, 5:14 PM > > i don't know if it's just me, buthas anyone else noticed that the Get Up > Kids are starting to really sell out in a way..i saw them on mtv's 120 > minutesblahapart from them being on MTV!, they expressed WANTING > to be on TRL every secondi dunno...did anyone else see that? if you > did..pleeease tell me they were just kidding (or that you think they > were)...their first album was great, but after seeing the video for action & > action, i can't bring myself to listen to Something to Write Home > abouthconcerned > > ~*tanNer*~ > > *june of '44 is great >
