Quite possibly, but the law will still interfere just as much. Nobody would be able to include the hack in their distro or official software package (probably -- this is untested). So people would need to "hand-assemble", downloading hacks from elsewhere, installing them. Doesn't stop the determined linux jockey, stops ordinary folks though. And stops anybody from selling bundled hardware and software based on an open source PVR, if it leaves the High-def video files just sitting on the disk, in the clear. So it's not so amusing. They are quite happy to relegate open PVRs to the open source hacking crowd, it seems, but it puts a ceiling on where they can go. It worked on deCSS, though we spent a million dollars trying to stop it. MythTV is used mainly for SDTV today, but how many years before SDTV is as passe as VHS tape? Not long, and few will be interested in a PVR system that only does SDTV then. If mythtv and freevo and all the other open source pvrs are to be broader projects that get used outside of the hacking community, these regulations must be stopped. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

[mythtv-users] playbacks are skipping, PVR-350
For the past couple weeks my playbacks (Hauppauge PVR-350) have been skipping. This started to occur soon after I upgraded from ivtv-0.1.9 to ivtv-0.2.0-rc3a However, even when I revert back to the ivtv-0.1.9 the condition still exists, even for recordings made with the ivtv-0.1.9 I'm using MythTV-0.16 I don't have the time to be pulling the card out and sticking back in windows to see if the problem persists, but is this a possible hardware failure? Another thought I had was, that my hard drive ( a Wester Digital 160 GB IDE ) is typically 80% full, could I need to defrag the drive? I've made sure that DMA is enabled in Linux for the partition. I should mention that skipping occurs at regular intervals ~30 seconds, and skips roughly 1-2 seconds of video each time. Correct me if I'm wrong, if the system were having trouble writing the recording stream fast enough to the hard drive, would MythTV intentionally skip frames to accomodate the slow system response? I guess thinking about it, the system would simply sample the next frame to be compressed when the system returns... no the card has a hardware encoder so the system would have to accept the full data stream? ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Re: [mythtv-users] Nova-T and a PVR-250?
Hi, I have a PVR350 + Nova T in the UK, with the 350 plugged into sky. IIt is a little tricky, but essentially you duplicate the channels that you have two sources for, in my case the PVR350 was installed first so it has a source id of one. My DVB card has source id of two. So for example I have BBC1 with source ID1 and BBC1 with ID2. You have to pull the channel info down from your transmitter to get the PIDs for the video and audio, and link the DVB channels info with the actual channels. There is a perl script to do it. channels.conf-import.pl I think, although you have to hack it a little with paths, source etc. Also you have to import the listings data twice, once for each source id. I have two configs, one for the sky channels and one for the dvb. (I could be doing this wrong, but works for me) Run through cron, eg tv_grab_uk_rt --config-file Sky.xmltv --output skylistings.xml tv_grab_uk_rt --config-file DVB.xmltv --output dvblistings.xml mythfilldatabase --file 1 -1 skylistings.xml mythfilldatabase --file 2 -1 dvblistings.xml Finally getting Myth to use the tuner you want is a bit quirky. Traditionally it seems to prefer using the first installed tuner for live TV. There is a new switch in 0.16, something like "Use the Best Tuner"?! but it never seemed to work that well for me. I guess this switch chooses the tuner with the most channels (which it the same as the first one for me) . anyone know for sure? For me the only problem is if you are watching live TV on the PVR on say BBC1, and Myth wants to record Sky1 it will turf you out (with the usual requestor) You will just have to wait for the recording to start, back out and go back into live tv .. it will now use source2. Other than that it works fine. It can record two channels at once and I can even watch a third previously recorded item at the same time HTH's Steve Garry Gibson wrote: I'm in the UK and have a perfectly working MythTV setup, using a PVR-250, a Sky digibox with a redeye IR transmitter controlling it. How would this work in my case... [mythtv-users] Incomplete recordings
For several weeks now I have had problems with recordings aborting several seconds after they start (usually 15-20 seconds). The problem cropped up suddenly, without me having made any changes to my system that I can recall. Some programs record without any issues, but once a recording has aborted the backend doesn't do anything more until I restart it. The log doesn't indicate any errors of any kind. I've tried updating my ivtv drivers with no change. For the last couple of days I've actually sat and watched the logs as recordings start (with "tail -f") to see if I could figure anything out and I've noticed something that may be pertinent: I get: 2005-01-14 11:00:02 Started recording "Blue's Clues" on channel: 1120 on cardid: 1, sourceid 1 2005-01-14 11:00:03 Changing from None to RecordingOnly 2005-01-14 11:00:04 Found changes in the todo list. 120 (the "120" is output from my channel changing perl script) The recording startsm abd a few seconds later I get: 2005-01-14 11:00:28 Scheduled 516 items in 23.0635 seconds. and at that instant the recording stops. Mythweb still reports it as recording, and the backend does report 30 minutes later: 2005-01-14 11:30:00 Finished recording Blue's Clues on channel: 1120 2005-01-14 11:30:00 Changing from RecordingOnly to None 2005-01-14 11:30:00 Found changes in the todo list. 2005-01-14 11:30:22 Scheduled 516 items in 21.8944 seconds. but the file itself is only 15-20 seconds long. So it appears that something is happening when the scheduling routine runs (but only sometimes -- it works 60-70% of the time) that makes the recording stop. Since lawsuits over this sort of thing are rare, it's hard to give an exact answer. Technically, it is a copyright violation, but fair use rules are fluid. Not every copy is a violation. Recording a show to watch it later is not a violation. Recording a show and transcoding it to a different format to play on a different device is not. Making a backup copy of something you legitimately own is not a violation. Distributing copies to or from strangers is more likely to be a violation. It gets worse if the commercials are stripped, too. However, when it's a program anybody can get off the air, the history is people don't care as much about it, so you don't see a lot of lawsuits. But torrent sites are being shut down now, some for doing TV, though more for movies. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
Re: [mythtv-users] Is pchdtv3000 worth it? How avout Air2PC card?
I plan to purchase some type of HDTV card in the near future (Spring?). I plan to use it for OTA broadcasts... I am having trouble deciding whether the pcHDCP card or the Air2PC card is for me.. Air2PC -> http://www.cyberestore.com/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=103 The Air card is slightly less expensive and has windoze support... It also has Myth support using the DVB infrastructure (http://www.digitalregime.com/mythdvb/) It also appears less mature than the pcHDTV solution... It's actually pretty hard for a _card_ to follow the broadcast flag rule. What makes more sense is a _system_ that enforces the broadcast flag rules, of which the card is a part. However, to do that, the card does have to do one thing, namely refuse to work with associated software that hasn't been blessed as following the rules. Or be a very smart card so the whole system is in the card. To do this, the card could, for example, only produce encrypted streams when the BF is set. Your could read from the card but all you would get was encrypted data. Unless your software had the keys, it could not play it. Your software would need to prove it was "well behaved" to to keymaster in order to get a key. That's actually tough, because software on an open PC can be reverse engineered and keys extracted. And open source software is out of the question, unless it had a locked, proprietary module for all playback or output of video. In theory, the card could be blessed and encrypt using the hdcp protocols, and the software might simply stream out this data to your TV, which if it's new, will have the HDCP keys inside. I don't know what actual vendors are planning. Another theoretical possibility would be a card that put out encrypted streams, and you fed the streams back into the card for it to feed out via QAM or ATSC or an encrypted protocol like DTVLink or HDCP to your TV, where it decrypted them. I think that's supposed to be legal but the rules are arcane. However, even if this were made to work and were legal, in these cases you can't do OSD, you can't do commercial elimination, cutlist editing, preview windows and so on. Plus the card now has to be a lot more expensive compared to a raw demodulator/tuner. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Actually, what probably _isn't_ gone is the "oldrecorded" table in your mythconverg database. This has a record of every show you ever recorded, with program id. Depending on your mysql skills, you will want to do a combination of turning some of those into recording requests, and moving away the shows you want to record again. It won't record them if they are in there normally. With most TV, it all comes round again before too long, though you may have to wait for the summer for all the reruns of current shows. And of course, most of those shows can be found via bittorrent, not that I would advise you to violate any copyrights. Actually, I do see one. As you can tell by reading guides like the Myth-tv-ology guide to Myth on Fedora or similar guides for Debian, there are still quite a number of steps to getting up and running. So I think a lot of people might like a hard disk which has all of that done and ready to go, since you want a new hard disk in a mythbox anyway. This is indeed what I have done for myself, in that if I wish a new mythbox, I don't repeat the procedure, I clone an existing one. That applies even with different hardware, since while the cloned disk has drivers for the pcHDTV, wintv-pvr and nvidia graphics cards on it (which are the most common choices for anybody building a new box), kudzu is quite able to reconfigure to the other hardware that changes on the new box (network etc.) though it likes to erase your xorg.conf. Brandon, I have Comcast basic cable, and am building my first Myth box. My fear is that encryption will void this card if I get digital cable. The only way this could change is with some sort of composite card capture solution that reads from the cable box post-decryption and an IR blaster, right? The flag mandate requires that all ATSC demodulators be "robust" against user modification. It doesn't mean there will be no holes, but it'll be much harder to get equipment that has them. It probably makes PCI cards impossible, unless they have flag recognition and output disabling on the card in hardware or firmware. Well, it looks like the problem has resurfaced. Although upon closer inspection it might only be affecting BBC channels. I rebuilt Myth from CVS on Tuesday night and I watched a film I recorded on Wednesday night, this exibited the seeking problem, however a program recorded the same night on ITV performed correctly. I've just checked again with two other programs, one on ITV2 and one on BBC 4 and they both behave in the same way. The ITV show seeks correctly and BBC one doesn't. I know there is some issue with the BBC not closing their GOP sequences correctly resulting in really long GOPs. Is there any extra debugging I can turn on to see wether it's upsetting Myth in any way? If the BBC are actually fault I'd like to know, as I can hassle some people at work to get it fixed if possible. If you expect something as easy to use as Tivo then no, it's not for you (yet). There are still some things that can be improved. But I have 4 cards, I'm glad I have every last one. Things do break (software) and there's system maintance (More than ntsc Myth users experience) but it's worth it to me. Some people have problems getting the right modelines for their HD Displays but most eventually get it right, it just takes time. How easy it is depends on you and your skills. If you get a good signal and have a fedora box that's already connected to a HD display then you can be running in 5 minutes. If you're far from a tower, have to research an antenna, are using Redhat 7.2, have a HD display that only takes 1 1080i component input then it will take you longer. But as far as "does the card work" the answer is yes. If OTA and non-encrypted QAM streams will not be worth $189 then don't get the card. You would be better off with an HD Tivo that has 2 HD Satellite tuners and 2 ATSC tuners, or wait for cable companies to sell you their PVR Cable boxes. The HD3000 pcHDTV card does do QAM. It has been tested, there is a driver that has it working, but that driver is not released. There is a bit of other work being done on the driver to try to get it so that it will be accepted into kernel source. If there are any kernel developers or experienced kernel driver developers that want to help, if they contact me they will be able to work on the cvs code, and get QAM early -- But I won't be able to let just anyone have access, sorry... Wait a few weeks and we'll see then. --Brandon ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Re: [mythtv-users] What NOT to do to your Myth box...
After you have finished the what appears to be a monumental set of tasks to get the DVDs authored... How to you access them? Do you just store them on the shelf? I myself was hoping for a solution to use cheap off the shelf Sony DVD jukebox - 400 DVD (1.56TB capacity - for $300)... that could be fed into the Myth backend, somehow... but havent seen any response on a previous thread. Many have also mentioned doing RAID, but this only helps in the case of HDD failures... As noted by this thread, there are plenty of ways to accidently delete or corrupt your data. Re: [mythtv-users] [OT] Fedora Core 3 and G. Ethernet (Marvell 88E8050)
Well, it's been an adventure, but so far, no luck. I have a few bookmarks with some good information (sorry, don't have them handy, I'm at work now), as well as more knowledge of Linux than I had bargained for :) What I have discovered is that many people are having the same problem. Some have been able to install the Marvell driver found here: http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?dId=107&pId=10 Others have not had as much luck. Right now my system is rather horked up (I now know enough to really mess stuff up), so this weekend I am planning on reinstalling and trying out some of the things I have found in my bookmarks. I will post my notes! I am determined to get the driver installed, and to understand the process well enough to repeat it reliably. Stay tuned, I will post my progress sometime this weekend (or Monday if no sucess). Also, to make getting source rpms and driver packages easier, I dropped in an old 3Com 10/100 card I fished out of the junk bin. FC3 recognized it, and this would probably be good enough, except that (a) I would like to use the PCI slot for something else, and (b) I certainly don't want to admit defeat - "Never give in and never give up". --- "Louis C. I use raid-5 only. That's the best you can choose; it is a nice compromise between striping and mirroring. Only thing is, you gotta think / buy in advance, since you can't really easily 'grow' a raid-5 array. What helps too, is not to put stacks of drives into cramped cases that need to be silent as well. Instead tuck them away in the basement with ample cooling. High temperature is a harddisks' enemy no. 1 ! Needless to say I'm no fan of combined backends/frontends. [mythtv-users] Some Xbox questions: install Myth native, partitioning ???
Hello, I have a 1.6 Xbox with Xecuter 3 chip installed with a 300GB HD. I'm looking for a way to manually partition the drive to my liking. My bios only gives me a couple of options (give F: the rest of the drive, or F: up to 137GB and G: the rest). My goal is to use F: for game rips and leave some free space on the drive to install Myth native. I only need a small portion of the drive for the Myth frontend (10 GB maybe???) and I want to give the F: game rip partition the majority of the space. I need a flexible way to partition the drive to accomplish this. My modchip has multiple BIOS banks...I have a xbox bios with dashboard loaded into one slot, and Cromwell 2.40 loaded into another. I can successfully boot into whichever I want using the dip switches. My plan is to normally boot using Cromwell and into Myth, and occasionally switch to the other BIOS and play games, using the F: drive to store game rips that I play. Any advice? You might be able to speed up the progress significantly (and save some money) by (1) recording the video at 720x480 or 352x480 instead of 480x480, (2) using nuvexport to chop ads out, and (3) using DVD Shrink to transcode the video instead of using TMPGEnc to reencode it, but I've not tried this yet. One significant difference I'd see in quality with this method is that you couldn't apply inverse 3:2 pulldown to those shows that need it. All this works fairly well for SD video grabbed from either TiVo or MythTV. You end up with standard DVD-Video content that plays in anybody's DVD player. For HD video, you'd basically need to roll your own format at this point if you want to keep it HD. If you want to convert HD to SD so you can burn it to DVD, you'll first need to convert the received transport stream to a program stream. replex will do that: http://freshmeat.net/projects/dvb-replex/ Once you have a program stream, you should be able to process it with the same tools listed above (though you'll need to add the AC3 decoder filter for Avisynth, since most (all?) HD broadcasts use AC3 audio). _/_ / v \ Scott Alfter (remove the obvious to send mail) (IIGS( http://alfter.us/Top-posting! \_^_/ rm -rf /bin/laden>What's the most annoying thing on Usenet? pgpHTkMxIHZEn.pgp Description: PGP signature ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

(I'd recently had yet another disk crash and I didn't want to loose *anything* anymore) Well... Authoring the DVDs was going slower than the .mpg files were coming in. I filled up 200Gig rather quickly. and a friend talked me into converting my array into a "striped" RAID array. So now I had 400Gig. Which quickly filled up to 350Gig of recorded programming... [mythtv-users] Nova-T and a PVR-250?
I'm in the UK and have a perfectly working MythTV setup, using a PVR-250, a Sky digibox with a redeye IR transmitter controlling it. Obviously, as everything is working fine, now is the time to mess with things! I'm thinking of adding a DVB-T card in there as well, so we can record one thing whilse watching another, or record two programs at once. I know Myth can cope with multiple cards, but how will it manage with the fact that some channels will be on the PVR-250 (Sky movies etc) and will need the redeye IR doofer to turn over, and that some channels will be on both? Can anyone offer any pearls of wisdom, even if it's "don't do that mate!" ? [mythtv-users] Re: Re: Re: New Mac Mini
Just some more notes about the mini Mac as a frontend: 1) I compiled MythTV CVS on my iMac G4 last night; worked perfectly. Check the archives for a link to a writeup on how to do it. My iMac is a 1.25 GHz G4, the same exact chip in the mini Mac, and I was watching full-screen TV with no problems at all. 2) Still need to figure out a good remote control solution. There is no serial port, so some sort of USB IR-input dongle is needed. 3) It comes standard with DVI-out (and a VGA adapter), and you can buy the $19 adapter to get Composite RCA and S-video out. I'll be using a VGA->RGB converter so I can hook it up to my HDTV. I use an Audio Authority converter now and it works very well. 4) Don't forget that you also get OS X and iLife and all that wonderful software. It's what a computer is supposed to be. I've been using Linux since 1993 and I just got my iMac last March - I fell in love with it. OS X is quite incredible. I highly recommend this machine, not only for a sweet Myth frontend, but just as a new computer to try out a great system. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Re: [mythtv-users] Lossless MPEG2 cutting, revisited
I, too, have been thinking about this lately. I looked at the GOPchop code, trying to find out how to just cut specified frames out of a recording. I believe GOPchop uses libmpeg2, so I looked into that, just to find that libmpeg2 has no documentation. I've got my Recording-To-Dvd process down to 2 steps now, thanks to nuvexport and the mpeg2cut script, but I don't like how avidemux2 is a GUI and requires X. Basically, what I want is a program that works just like the mpeg2cut script (e.g. mpeg2cut infile outfile range_of_frames_to_keep) that is command line only. Heck, if we could get that working, a "MythArchive" module would be very feasible (to me anyways.) Shouldnt Myth just alternate tuners when recording (if they have the same priority)? that way, without any serious changes to the scheduling it would pick up the extra 10 mins or whatever at the end. g - Original Message - From: "James Pifer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Discussion about mythtv" Sent: Friday, January 14, 2005 12:38 PM Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] Not using both tuners to full effect? Thanks for pointing out that thread. I'd started to read it but it wasn't really relevant at the start so I didn't get all the way to the end. Seems crazy that I have a second tuner sitting completely unused while the box chops off the end of a program so it can use only one tuner. Also seems crazy that I have a global setting (most convenient - means I don't have to faff around with early/late settings for each recording) and then that option is chucked away when it needn't be. Sigh. So, my options are: 1) Set overrun-underrun settings for *each* recording manually and forget all about the global ones. 2) Wait for a patch - unlikely to get into CVS I would guess. 3) Learn C++ and write my own patch. Oh well. I've wondered about the exact same issue. Just seems to make sense that it would use the other tuner since it's sitting idle. Anyway, I've gone through my recordings and manually set the start early/end late fields. I do all my scheduling from the web interface. A possible workaround that would work for me would be to simply have mythweb automatically default those two fields to specific values. For example: Start Early (minutes): 2 End Late (minutes): 1 I looked at program_detail.php but it wasn't obvious on how this could be done. once you find the php script that causes the recording details to be shown, its just an attribute of the input field. Its been a while since I touched PHP, but I will take a look now. [mythtv-users] Anyone with a Mitsubishi 65613??? Modeline issues
Hey everyone, I'm setting up a MythTV for a friend of mine who has a Mitsubishi 65613 and for the life of me we can't get a modeline which works. We have used powerstrip to stabilize the picture (seems very picky about its vertical sync) and took the Modeline it generated and no luck - still massive flickering (vertical sync not right). The interesting thing was powerstrip had finnaly gotten the screen to stabilize only by making the vertical sync rate just under 30khz - but when X started it reported it was using a Vertical sync rate of 33khz (so - I'm not surprised it's flickering). The final modeline we came up with was: "1920x1080" 74.250 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1089 1125 interlace +hsync +vsync Mitsubishi is just no help at all - and I haven't found anything useful in the avforum's. Hoping there is someone out there who has solved this!!! [mythtv-users] Lossless MPEG2 cutting, revisited
It's been awhile since this has been discussed, but I'm wondering if there's any status on this front. I just happened to look and see if GOPchop had been updated since last time I used it, but it appears to have died on the vine. It seems to have some issues, but it does have a nice .cpp skeleton for parsing and clipping MPEG2 files at GOP boundaries. I-frame clips would probably be adequate, but since they are still lossy with missing P-frames, perhaps a transcode of a few frames around cutpoints would suffice? I'm just offering food for thought for those more in the code. Just for the record, however, the ivtv driver appears to always output the same GOP length/format (15 frames/GOP IIRC). With a 2-pass reencode to mpeg2 (e.g. with avidemux), I get varying-length GOPs. It's got potential for better quality/bitrate than archiving to DVD right off the ivtv card... might be a worthwhile option for any sort of "MythArchive" module or something. -Cory * * Cory Papenfuss* * Electrical Engineering candidate Ph.D. graduate student * * Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University * * ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

Re: [mythtv-users] Happy...but picture is grainy
Now that my wife and I are getting used to it, thought, we've noticed that the picture quality isn't *quite* the same as live tv. I've tried increasing the resolutions in setup, but it doesn't seem to change the slightly grainy appearance of the tv. Any thoughts? My system specs are: As others have mentioned, "graininess" may be coming from low signal level or not enough bitrate on the encoding. I have long had issues with the "softness" of my PVR-250 as compared to the tv's tuner. After a rather involved investigation, I concluded that it appears to be a limitation of the tuner card and/or driver. Anything over about 480x480 results in no measurable improvement in resolution. -Cory * * Cory Papenfuss* * Electrical Engineering candidate Ph.D. graduate student * * Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University * * ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users

There's no easy way to grab single >days from the data which they are (very graciously) providing. Yep that's right. Instead of asking mythfilldatabase to grab the info from RT I use tv_grab_uk_rt directly like this: tv_grab_uk_rt --configfile channels.xmltv --output data.xml --days 1 This results is 14 days of data, but it means that it's only downloaded once. If you don't specify the --days 1 flag then you end up with the default of 14 days which means that you download 14 days of data 14 times. It's pretty easy to get it into Myth : mythfilldatabase --file 1 0 data.xml The xmltv config file is just a list of channels, I think Myth auto generates one in ~mythtv/.mythtv and names is sourceid.xml. Forgive me if I have that slightly wrong since I'm at work away from my servers. You could also use bleb (tv_grab_uk_bleb). I use a mixture of the 2 (bleb does some channels RT does not - BBC3 BBC4 and Radio) and hand built xmltv config files for each. I jut have a script that wraps it all together and run it from cron on the B/E. Initially I was a bit upset with RT for pushing 14 days of data in a 1 day file but then as you point out, they're doing this for free so I think I can live with it. HTH Paul Important. It appears that what is happening is that AutoExpire is running on both backends, but only deleting old things from that particular backend. Since 99% of the recordings are made by Tuner 1, this means that things recorded by Tuner 2 are being dropped very quickly (before I have a chance to watch them). Some logs from Tuner 1: 2005-01-13 17:30:53 Running AutoExpire: Want 10 Gigs free but only have 9. 2005-01-13 17:30:53 AutoExpiring: The Simpsons Wed Dec 15 18:00:00 2004 1110 MBytes Meanwhile, on Tuner 2: 2005-01-12 22:26:26 Running AutoExpire: Want 10 Gigs free but only have 9. 2005-01-12 22:26:26 AutoExpiring: 24 Mon Jan 10 20:00:00 2005 MBytes Note that Tuner 1 is removing things that are almost a month ago, but Tuner 2 is removing items that are less than two days old. Tragically, this caused me to lose three of the first four hours of 24. Is there something I can change in the configuration to cause Myth to realize these two machines are working on a common drive, and that thus the AutoExpire process should work across them? Thanks.
