One thing to note about the D.Vine 5 is that it doesn't have enough
space for a normal atx psu, so if you decide to change the included
one, you have to find one that is micro atx (and since you'll want it
beneath your tv, quiet as well, which can be quite hard, and those that
are(ahanix' own for example) are quite expensive.
Also, that case only has harddisc mount for 1 disc (there's space, however, to place some more next to the drives, but no mount)
Silverstone and I just don't think they look as nice (subjective, obviously). Does anyone have any really good or bad reports about any of
these cases I should take into account?
A friend of mine bought a silverstone case and describes at least the
lid that covers, i think it was, the optical disk-drive as being VERY
plasticy and loose, thus not giving off a real quality feel.
The next question I'm really uncertain about is how to choose adual-layer DVD burner which doesn't sound like a flock of migrating
geese (and will fit in the cases above). Any advice here?
I use one from LG(which fits fine in the D.Vine 5 case), but I think
most drives are pretty silent, when you just set their speed to
something low, eg. this command for closing the disk drive and setting
the speed to 2x: eject -t -x 2

I know that I didn't have the problem, when I was running myth 0.16

So maybe we should move back instead of forwards, with regards to ivtv.

Could be a PAL version that isn't doing things as the later ivtv

As far as I've been able to pinpoint this, it is in fact some kind of
problem with the sound not getting properly initialized when first

the channel away and then back, and then the sound is fine.

[mythtv-users] transcoding to mpeg4, but cut list is not being removed?

Hello there fellow mythoholics,

In myth 0.18, when I would transcode a recording, the commercials I
had marked with the cutlist, would be removed, but since 0.18 (I'm
running CVS, but I believe it is also so with the release), the
recording is only being transcoded, and my cutlist is not being
touched - is this a deliberately changed behaviour, and is it possible
to choose to use the old behaviour somehow?

be ivtv-related somehow?

Yep, it's the same for me, frames getting mixed up, when moving

Also, maybe related, when I transcode to have all the extra stuff

I've marked to be removed is still in the video, and my cutlist is

Of course, if I try to transcode again, it fails, giving an error

view the video using the Overlay Mode, and I am wondering if that might have
something to do with the choppy video I get in mythfrontend as well? I have
the ATI Drivers installed from ATI.I will be testing some more tonight, but
 any help would be great.

I have the same behaviour, what I see is if i use X's native support
for multiple screens, I get no XV(running xvinfo supports this) If I
however try and use the ATI driver's twinview thing, I get xv (but my
settings are somehow wrong atm. so my tv displays the image all wrong
so it's not usable on the tv out..

Can anyone please tell me where MythTV stores channel frequencies or how
it changes the channel? I need to change the constants so that my tuner
 goes to the correct frequency.

Have a look at the channel table in the database, that stores
frequencies and channel names, etc.
