Re: [mythtv-users] TV resolution
Thanks, but I still have the problem about the scan settings. There is a black frame on all 4 sides and that may be because of the higher than necessary resolution settings. How do I change that? Someone suggested the following: /usr/bin/nvidia-settings-1.0-6629 Does anyone know if changing the setting to 800 x 600 would help and if so; how to get a more "TV like" color for my box? Sorry if I confused anyone by spelling the command wrong. I added this line to my /home/mythtv/.kde/Autostart/myth-load.sh script, no more blue lines for me. However, I don't want to confuse the issue further, so let me add this: If you didn't follow Jarod's guide for the initial setup, I'm not sure that you'll have the myth-load.sh script. This same problem occured on my MythTV setup after initial install, and a quick search of the archives led me to a post that mentioned a blue background behind my picture, which could be changed to black to remove the lines. I don't remember the command, but it worked perfectly in my case. Search the archives for 'xattr' and/or 'blue line'.
