I use the Timzone library (https://github.com/JChristensen/Timezone) which is parameter driven. DST and STD options can be set in 15 minute increments. It should work anywhere in the world. Button option is a sure thing, but I wanted DST to be fully automated. This is not a modified version of Jeff's firmware. It is new and different. Some things were left out, such as alarms, and much was added. It isn't better, just different. If you want a board, please contact me directly. DST can be a pain for any clock! Among the many clocks I've built or bought, the MOD-SIX clock seems to have the most complete DST tables for fully unattended time changes. The manual one-button DST on clocks from PV Electronics are probably the most future proof AND are convenient to use with no manuals required. Come to think of it, Jeff also lived in Arizona. Perhaps that's why he didn't understand the subtleties of DST programming, since he never used it! I'm in South Australia (so southern hemisphere, +9:30, with DST, making my offset +10:30 for New Year), and my Nixichron beeps from 00:00 until 10:30 (and, from memory, only displays colons for the duration) - obviously this means that I need to turn it off before 00:00 and can't turn it back on until after 10:30. I assume it can't handle the fact that time seemingly in error, however it would hardly be an issue if it just handled the condition silently! Hi Mitch, I'd be interested in one of your boards for the Nixichron, if you still have any left. You mention in the other thread that you have used a much more traditional setup for DST - which will be a saviour in itself, as the existing setup is terrible if your DST parameters have changed from those that Jeff predefined (and southern hemisphere adds another level of complication). Do you know if your board exhibits the same issue with time zones east of UTC, where the clock emits a constant beep on 01 January from 00:00 until it reaches the time offset? Wayne, the upgrade is a daughter board that replaces the processor. See a previous post I made for details. I doubt that it will be compatible with anything else.
