Hi Hi Tacira,

This all looks brilliant, and I'm wondering if it's worth asking groups such as
Guerilla Translation. They mainly translate Spanish into English, and I know
that Portuguese is the official and national language of Brazil. However, they
may be to offer suggestions - if you were interested in this kind of dynamic,
that is.

https://www.guerrillatranslation.org/

Let me know how it turns out :-)

Wishing you well.

Re: [NetBehaviour] FurtherList No.15 Nov 29th 2019 ️‍♂️

2019-12-02 Thread marc.garrett via NetBehaviour
Thanks Helen,

Now I've come out of the other end of the PhD, some of the strange Garrett
ventures will naturally fall back into play, and this list is a kind of tapping
back into early Furtherfield (grounded) processes, where connecting beyond
one's own 'central point' of one's ego, and reconnecting to a network (no
matter how dysfunctional) is once more, essential.

Post-Web 2.0, we still have the networks & communities out there, it's just
that the platforms have diverted our attentions from peer/collective/building.
The building does not necessarily need to be structural, but more about peer
acknowledgement, support & caring - the FurtherList is one example where
solidarity is created by seeing each other once more.

Wishing you well.

2019-12-02 Thread marc.garrett via NetBehaviour
Hi Tacira,

Thank you,

I've already compiled all the 14 past FurtherList's, which offer a
intersectional & international relationship with our collectively shared
field's of practices (whatever we call it), art technology & social change.

And I would love to receive 'similar contexts/suggestions' shared with me, so
included in the future. Whether it's Brazil, China, and or the African
continent etc.

There will be a New Year's FurtherList, after Xmas.

The key point is, that most of the content reflects a culture we are all part
of collectively, and even though there is material linking to institutional
events & knowledges etc. It must be balanced in representing those who're also
existing outside of the larger, more established frameworks at the same time.
Showing a deep, fluid, ecological cultural map of what's happening out there :-)

Wishing you well.

marc
