But that doesn't save all the pictures in the website -- it just saves
  the HTML.

Do other browsers do this - save the text and the graphics? I was under
the impression that only 'offline browsers' were able to retain the link
 between the two.

Konqueror can save pages to a WAR file, which is simply a tarball with

But the _real_ operating system (Linux) could not be accessed at all thanks

Your comments are unhelpful and so are you turning up on this list.

  Hello,
LILO can be placed in the Windows 2000 Boot menu! Using instructions

 at

www.ntcompatible.com/faq2.shtml, (not reproduced here - they are designed
with SuSE linux in mind which would not be appropraite on this list!),
you can add it - and takes only 512bytes.

  [at a terminal] lilo -s /mnt/c/linux.bin

[in boot.ini add this line] C:\LINUX.BIN=Mandrake Linux 8.0

I have tried it with linux mandrake 8.0 and it works perfectly.

  Hope it's useful,

Actually I believe in LILO.
More people have it.
I know how to configure it.

GRUB probably is better but I'd have to learn it first.

I hate NTLDR.

Re: [newbie] Minimising applications

2001-10-19 Thread pesarif

Just a guess from my experience...:

With KDE 2.2, I have this problem as well (sometimes).
Do you happen to have any special applets on your KDE panel running?
That KSysguard/System resource-type meter seems to be the culprit
sometimes...

btw, if your program disappears, instead of ending up on the panel, you
can still ALT+TAB and access the program.

Maybe someone else on the list knows more.

 Hi Guys

When I minimise any application, such as KMail or Gabber, it used to dock
into the panel. Now however it disappears completely and I must restrt the
 application, losing anything in progress.

Has anyone else found this and have they fixed it ?

This is using 8.1 by the way.

The filter architecture in KOffice 1.0 in Mandrake 8.0 was really poor.
Download the KOffice 1.1 RPMS for Mandrake 8.0 from www.koffice.org.
That can read excel files nicely!

does anyone have any cheat codes for chromium???
I suggest that you email the author offlist or...
since it is open-source software (I think), look in the source code.
If there aren't any cheats, then add some and send a patch to the author.

what is the highest score you have gotten?
