If you want to add a folder to it, then you must do so as root. An easy way to do that is K Menu>Applications>FileTools>FileManager(SuperUserMode) That gives you a konqueror window running as root, and you can screw up your system to your hearts content with it. derek -- -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com To change the permissions, you would need to be logged in as root or su'd as root. But, if you could do that, you would be able to copy the folder. Assuming you have the root password, you can always hold down alt + ctrl + F1 (or F2 or F3, etc. to F6) to start a new tty session and log in as root and then copy the files. Hit exit to logout and then alt + ctrl + F7 to return to your X-window session. Joeb p.s. it is a real security issue to chmod /usr/share!!! Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft?
