In there you will find a whole new world. :-) -s I think you are trying to save from each program but don't no how to go to the parent directory from your home directory... am i right? Look for a directory called .. - two full stops. Double click on this and you will be in the /home directory. Double click on it again and you will be in the / root directory on top of the tree. /mnt should then be visible and you are home and hosed. you may also need to add yourself to the floppy group (if you aren't logging in as 'root', depending on how you are setup. By default (in certain security levels), users do not have permission to use the floppy or the cdrom. This can easily be accomplished via linuxconf, or any of a number of other gui based system configuration tools.
