If an icon pops up, what happens if you right-click it and choose unmount ? Then when I plug it back in, it does not mount. I can go to mcc and mount anything config screens and it then mounts without me doing anything else. This only rates as a small pita, but I'm curious. Please post your /etc/fstab file, maybe we can find something. IIRC setting it to auto instead worked for me. You could try , as root : supermount -i disable and reverse that with supermount -i enable, if it doesn't work either. big snip Thanks Kaj I'll try that just for sport. Haven't broken the 9.2 box recently, anyway. Lee Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com Join the Club : http://www.mandrakeclub.com

One normally does this with a Video camcorder, then capture the video from the tape to the computer using a software program. I want to avoid the investment that goes into this. I would like to know if I can use a USB web camera to capture the video and simultaneously convert to a computer file. Does Mandrake Linux support this? DO I need a TV Tuner card for this? I am a total newbie to all things related to Multimedia and USB. So please bear with my ignorance. If I remember correctly, you have to add the usb group to your users. Otherwise they don't have any rights Greetings Ralph On Sat, 23 Mar 2002, Lee wrote: I know I have seen the answer to this, but I can't find it in my notes anywhere.
