[Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Honda's New bikes
Isn't the NC700X a new bike? Wouldn't you think Honda would be advertising it a lot more? I find it confusing at best. That's a growing market yet you don't really see anything from Honda. Like the NT700V, a really great tweener bike and perfect for the everyday commuter that likes to tour yet nothing advertised at all. I'd even add the ST1100's and 1300's into this mix. I would guess it's to protect the Goldwing? Sean On Friday, September 7, 2012 3:40:42 AM UTC-10, 2006 Nighthawk wrote: The fury looks bad a……. especially in red. No Nighthawk in the line-up. RE: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Honda's New bikes
I agree about the advertising, but I don't know about the Goldwing. I've got the perfect commercial. Line up all the new bikes with a different color or cut of hair on each girl as they sit on the back seat of a bike. A red head, a blond, a brunet, a pony tale, an afro, etc. and a tattooed girl on fury. Two guys who are standing there say, One says, Yes, I like the brunet and the other guy says to the camera, How about you? That would sell Hondas Ron _ From: nighthawk_lovers@googlegroups.com [mailto:nighthawk_lovers@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Hawaii Sean Sent: Monday, September 10, 2012 2:00 PM To: nighthawk_lovers@googlegroups.com Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Honda's New bikes Isn't the NC700X a new bike? But how do you sell to lady riders? Because geared up young women on motorcycles are definitely my preference to crusty old guys (No offense to any crusty old guys you might happen to know. :p). -Kurt PS: The redhead best be on an NC700 or one of the CBR250r models. I don't think you are going to hurt Hondas image, because they are almost invisible at this point. Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Honda's New bikes
They are only almost invisible because of the juggernaut marketing machine that is Harley. Believe me, I see far more metrics (cruisers + sportbikes) than I see legitimate Harleys. Part of the issue, as I see it, is the market for a touring bike that isn't a cruiser is somewhat small. Honda has the upmarket rolling couch segment totally locked down tight with the Goldwing; everyone has heard of those. Everyone else has to fight for those few people who want touring bikes in something other than a V-twin, and it's a small market of knowledgeable players so they don't typically need to do much advertising. -Kurt On Mon, Sep 10, 2012 at 7:15 PM, Pastor Ron pastor...@cox.net wrote: I don’t think you are going to hurt Hondas image, because they are almost invisible at this point.
