[ns] Fwd: help
Hi all, I had posted one query in ns2 mailing list last day. But it was not published in the list. I don't know why. I am posting it again here. I am doing my final year M.Tech in CSE. As a part of my project, I have to maintain the list of all neighbors for all nodes in the network. I tried by printing the node in the recvHello() of AODV protocol. But it just prints the current node and its neighbor id. What exactly I want is each node should maintain all its neighbors list with it and I have to get it printed. I am attaching the code portion where I have made change.Could you please check if it is possible to declare a two dimensional array as I have given here? I have tried my level best. Can someone help me out with this? It was really urgent for my project. Thanks in advance
Re: [ns] Fwd: help...
Hi Sushma, These two versions are quite outdated. The latest one is 2.35. I installed in on Cygwin. It also works on Ubuntu as well. [ns] Fwd: help: DSR trace
Hello I am working with DSR in ns-2 trace. I want to analyse when the route is unreachable , the packet is dropped and when the route is reestablished . I have found some trace lines SFESTs and SFs, for example SFESTs 0.020076749 _0_ 0 [0 -> 1] 1(1) to 1 [0 |1 ] SFs 0.041155504 _0_ 7 [0 -> 1] 1(0) to 1 In file "dsragent.cc" I found SF means "Flowstate",and SFESTs "Flowstate establishment" but what is their difference? Can they give me some indication about the route broken or reestablished? Or which indicator should I capture? Thanks a lot -- Deng.qianhua

[ns] Fwd: Help about EURANE scheduling
-- Forwarded message -- From: Cecilia P. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 2008-1-3 下午8:45 Subject: Help about EURANE scheduling To: ns-users@isi.edu Hi, I'm working on a scheduling algorithm to be implemented over networks where a combination of TDM and CDMA can be used to transmit data to multiple users simultaneously. HSDPA is such a kind of network. Howerver, as for as I know, the scheduling algorithms in EURANE, i.e. Round Robin, Maximum C/I and RCDS seem just to be TDM : they choose only one user to be served every TTI. I would like to ask you what I assume is right or not?EURANE is designed to TDM? If so, can EURANE be modified to serve more than one users every time slot? Thanks in advance! Hope you earlier reply! Dear Sir, Don't worry about that, I will help you step by step to get the correct results, firstly use the attach awk script to extract results from you simulation output file using the command: awk -f metrics.awk out.tr and let me see the results, if its not worked well, there is another soultion.. [ns] Fwd: help on TU-Berlin EDCA model
Hello! I've installed TKN EDCA model in ns-allinone-2.28 ... It seems to work properly, but I'm getting "segmentation fault". I've tried to simulate with multi_udpflows.tcl even, but the same message appears: segmentation fault, after the program created wired and wireless nodes. Could anyone help me? [ns] Fwd: Help with WFQ-Scheduler for Wireless networks
Hi I am trying to find the Scheduler based on Weighted Fair Queuing for Wireless Networks especially 802.16, but couldn find. Any advice on WFQ Scheduler in NS2 in the latest version??Cud find one which is for ns2.1b6. So for higher versions it might work but not with the patch command but manually. So how do I do that ,if not with the patch command. I dont understand how manually it is to be done. Basically , can someone guide me in making WFQ work for ns2.29. I am new to NS, so sorry if am asking for too much. I would really appreciate if I get a solution. Thanks in advance.

Re: [ns] Fwd: Help with WFQ-Scheduler for Wireless networks
Hi You can find WFQ implementation at my Web page, here it is http://www.cc.jyu.fi/~sayenko/src/wfq-1.2.4.tar.gz. However, due to a small bug it is not possible to attach it to the wireless interface in NS-2, NS-2 just crashes. I have fixed it but a new version is not released. In any case, applying WFQ to the 802.16 networks is not a good idea since you will introduce unnecessary complexities. Due to the fact that the WiMAX frame is always fixed and the slots are of the fixed duration, it is more efficient to rely upon the RR schedulers. If you are interested I can send you a paper written by our research group with the simulation results from NS-2.
