In Outlook XP, I can't get _any_ to filter. Am using To: and From: and just
From: but neither work.
All other lists work.

Example:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the From line contains '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'

Move it to the ntsysadmin folder

Yeah, I had big problems on Compaq servers with array controllers.
The rollup package overwrites scsiport.sys with a newer file which does not
work correctly with certain array controllers giving lovely blue screens
when you restart (Stop 0xA Blue Screen Error). Caused major panic
with us until I found out what it was and used ERD Commander to copy the
older file back into place. Now boots fine.

There's a note on the MS site indicating what to do before you run the
rollup. The directions basically say to update everything in CIM before you
do the patch.

Once that's done - it should be a snap.

Hi everybody,
just a side note for those who don't know. a must with compaq servers is to
run the ssd after you run an ms service pack BEFORE you reboot. this

Yep, there were a couple of issues with this. The biggest one, that I remember, only

RE: MS Security Rollup

2001-09-25 Thread John Weber

Yes. It blew up an exchange server (5.5sp4) to the point of BSOD.
I had to restore from tape :(
All other servers in the domain were fine (post srp install) so I don't
know what the issue was/is. I will not touch this box with the srp exe
file ever again.

There's a note on the MS site indicating what to do before you run the
rollup. The directions basically say to update everything in CIM before
you
 do the patch.

Once that's done - it should be a snap.

Yeah, I had big problems on Compaq servers with array controllers.
The rollup package overwrites scsiport.sys with a newer file which does
not
work correctly with certain array controllers giving lovely blue screens
when you restart (Stop 0xA Blue Screen Error). Caused major panic
with us until I found out what it was and used ERD Commander to copy the
older file back into place. Now boots fine.

Compaq has a fix. This si a snippet from the batch file that I run. It does all the

ECHO This is Compaq's recommended fix for the BSoD that

The Security Rollup can have conflicts with certain array controllers (e.g.
cpqarray.sys). Result: BSOD

RE: MS Security Rollup

2001-09-25 Thread Martin Blackstone

Yea, I got that too.
What I have been doing is before running the rollup, I head over to
Compaq, DL the SupportPaq and install that, which of course brings the
array drivers up to the latest version.
I have not had any issues by doing that.

Re: MS Security Rollup

I can't say this enough. Compaq drivers conflict with ms drivers. they are
different. after you run an ms service patch or sp DON'T REBOOT. run the
Compaq SSD and update your Compaq drivers then reboot. THIS IS THE BOTTOM
LINE. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME CALL COMPAQ OR YOUR LOCAL COMPAQ ASE.

2001-09-25 Thread TDI Custom Computers

In Outlook XP, I can't get _any_ to filter. Am using To: and From: and just
From: but neither work.
All other lists work.

Example:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the From line contains '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'

Move it to the ntsysadmin folder

I put in an MS Outlook rule to filter these newsgroup items to a special
folder, and most get routed to the folder, but not all, for example the
one below.

Anyone experiencing this? Any ideas?

RE: MS Security Rollup

Yes, if you have a Compaq server with a Compaw RAID adapter, you must update
the driver before the Rollup rebut. IF you don't you get a BSOD with
IRQL_NOT_LESS

Only solution then is parallel install and copy the driver.
