Re: [nycwireless] stupid question about vonage

2004-06-21 Thread Jose Marinez
Vonage tells you that you need to get a special line for faxes. You
have to pay about $10 for it per month. I have the small business
package that includes the additional fax number and it works. I've
been a Vonage customer for about 6 months. They've lowered the
international rates twice and the monthly rate once. I couldn't be any
happier and I'm never going back to Verizon again.

Hope this helps.

What are you using to fax with? Which VOIP box did they give you?
Thanks,
Jonathan

[nycwireless] [ot] linux expertise sought ...

2004-06-21 Thread Jon Baer
ug ...
redhat hell i think ... i have no idea but my /initrd folder suddenly
disappeared and apparently this is taboo on RH9 ... it causes a kernel
panic and i could not boot, so i went over to XP and used LTOOLS to
simply create this empty directory and now ... all i have left is

/proc
/dev
/tmp
am i screwed? (considering my cd-rom cant seem to work), do i have any
alternatives? i knew sticking with redhat was bad news ... any advise
*extremely* appreciated.

Fax works for sure. Based on that I assume that dialup would work,
but only at around 9600.

Motorola box.

  I hope this helps.
