Saya punya cerita (bukan orisinil, sdh saya modifikasi, cerita aslinya
saya sdh lupa siapa yang menulis).

Pada suatu hari, seorang investor sedang liburan ke desa kecil,
tibalah saatnya dia harus naik perahu untuk menyeberangi sungai yang
cukup lebar. Diatas perahu, terjadilah percakapan sbb:

Investor: Maaf Pak, Bapak tahu mengenai saham tidak?
Tukang Perahu: Tahu Pak, waktu itu saya jual sawah trus saya belikan saham.
Investor: Wah Bapak termasuk orang yang berani, Bapak tahu TA?
Tukang Perahau: Tidak Pak.
Investor: Wah kalau begitu Bapak bisa rugi 30%, kalau FA?
Tukang Perahau: Tidak juga Pak.
Investor: Wah kalau begitu Bapak bisa rugi 30%, kalau BA?
Tukang Perahau: Tidak juga Pak.
Investor: Wah kalau begitu Bapak bisa rugi 30%, Ya..kalau begitu
berdoa saja, mudah-mudahan dengan kesempatan 10%, saham Bapak akan
terus berkembang.

Gantian Tukang Perahu yang mengajukan pertanyaan.

Tukang Perahu: Maaf Pak, apakah Bapak bisa berenang?
Investor:Tidak bisa, memangnya kenapa?
Tukang Perahu:Kalau begitu kemungkinan 90% Bapak akan kehilangan
seluruh saham dan seluruh harta Bapak, sebaiknya Bapak berdoa saja,
mudah-mudahan Bapak bisa selamat dari banjir yang akan segera datang.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE.

Embah SUDAH KASIH WARNING sampai teriak-teriak di milis sebelah (Saya baru 
dengar sekarang)
Saya yakin, warning itu bahkan bisa diteriakkan tgl 13 pagi kalau Embah sudah 
sempat membaca posting saya.
Tapi sayang ya, Embah. Rasanya sedikit yang mau ikut untuk hati2 dan akhirnya 
terselamatkan.

Jujur, saya sedih kalau banyak yang terperangkap, 
semata-mata karena masih terjebak dengan impian sendiri dan mencoba melawan 
pasar.
Tetapi memang itu harus terjadi, part of the game. 

Sebenarnya teka-teki itu belum terjawab seluruhnya, MERAH memang sudah benar 
seperti yang saya sebutkan tgl 13 sore.
Tetapi untuk saat ini kita lupakan dulu teka-teki itu, karena walaupun 
jawabannya akan menjelaskan seluruh skenario saat ini.
Sekaligus menjelaskan mekanisme pasar, tetapi LUPAKAN dulu untuk sementara. 
Kita bahas saat semuanya santai.
Karena nanti responnya pasti: Kalau begitu sih semua orang juga sudah tahu... 

Saya benar2 mau membantu sebisa saya Embah, tanpa pamrih apa2.
Terinspirasi dari usaha2 yang sudah Embah lakukan juga.
Tetapi ada banyak sekali halangan yang membuat semuanya sangat complicated.
Membuat teka-teki juga agak sulit untuk waktu yang sangat singkat.

Jadi untuk hari ini cluenya saya langsung saja (jangan tanya saya jawabannya):
Perhatikan VOLUME dan agresifitas di running trade.
Apakah sedang akumulasi atau distribusi?
Jawaban ini akan menentukan prediksi untuk besok.
Saya rasa Embah sudah tahu.

PS:
Semalam saya sudah berikan prediksi baru tentang hari ini, dan rasanya ada yang 
marah Embah.
Mencoba melawan. Tanpa sadar, bahwa bukan saya yang menciptakan si bear.
Dan saya benar2 tidak bermaksud memprovokasi, menyeret opini atau bahkan cari 
pengikut.
Jujur, saya lelah juga kalau begini terus. Niat baik tanpa maksud apa2.
Hasilnya: yang diselamatkan tidak ada, malah saya yang cape sendiri. 
Tidak ada yang benar2 mengerti juga bahwa: "Things sometimes are much more 
complicated than it seems and than you think."
Maaf sedikit curhat, sekedar background kenapa saya kadang harus "keluar"
Perlu fokus di trading tanpa teralihkan fokusnya oleh emosi.
Seringkali terpaksa saya kembali ke basic saya. Menjadi purist. Milis tidak 
dibaca sama sekali.

Eka Perkasa/POLY akan mengakuisisi perusahaan polyester lain untuk menguatkan 
bisnis Polysindo. Damiano juga akan mengakuisisi perusahaan pembangkit listrik.
 
 Demikian disampaikan Direktur Keuangan Polysindo Peter Grant dalam konferensi 
pers di Hotel Le Meridien, Jalan Sudirman, Jakarta, Senin (17/12/2007).
 
 "Kami akan mengakuisisi perusahaan sejenis yang lebih kecil, perusahaan 
tersebut juga merupakan anak usaha PT Texmaco. Kami juga akan mengakuisisi 
perusahaan pembangkit listrik 80 MW," ujarnya.
 
 Menurut Peter, akuisisi tersebut diharapkan bisa direalisasikan tahun depan.
 
 Peter menambahkan, perseroan juga akan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi menjadi 
82% dari total kapasitas terpasang tahun 2008. Tahun ini utilisasi produksi 
Polysindo baru sebesar 70%.
 
 Untuk peningkatan kapasitas tersebut dibutuhkan dana sekitar US$38 juta yang 
akan berasal dari suntikan dana pemegang saham, dana kas internal dan pinjaman 
bank.
 
 "Saat ini kami sudah melakukan pembicaraan dengan bank lokal dan asing," kata 
Peter.
 
 Meskipun demikian, rencana tersebut akan batal dilakukan bila Damiano kalah 
dalam tuntutan pailit dari Babbington. Menurut Peter, jika Babbington menang 
dalam gugatannya berarti kepastian hukum dan investasi di Indonesia
 masih diragukan.
 
 "Karena secara hukum Babbington sudah tidak memiliki hak sebagai kreditur dan 
Babbington juga tidak memiliki kualifikasi untuk mengajukan gugatan sesuai 
kesepakatan komite kreditur," ujarnya

majority is usually *wrong*. You know, most of smart players out there are
good CONTRARIANS.

At first it may be difficult to accept such a statement as fact. So let us
pursue the subject a bit. Let us start by dividing the population of this
planet into two groups, the minority and the majority.

It would seem that only a minority of the people on this planet have the
ability and ambition to study hard, to figure out ways to accumulate wealth,
and to raise their standard of living. The majority are apparently unable or
unwilling to acquire the knowledge and take the action which would enable
them to do the same.

Another difficulty of the majority is the herd instinct which they follow. The
desire to go along with a large group is evident among people and animals. This
is caused by the idea that there is safety in numbers – to think and act
like the majority of other people. Anyone who dares to be different from the
crowd is not considered to be "normal."

One of the big troubles with modern society is the conformity of ideas and
action. I call it the mediocrity of conformity. Many people are actually
afraid to be different – to pursue unusual ideas. But the road to success is
paved with unusual ideas, and traveled by unusual people who dare to be
different. In our modern society it frequently pays to be unusual and
different.

Another trouble with the majority is that they have a tendency to believe
what they are told, especially if something is repeated frequently. The
majority find it is easier to accept the statements of others than to think
for themselves.

The minority, who do not believe what they are told, must put forth
intensive effort in their search for truth and knowledge. Sometimes the
quest for knowledge is like sailing on an uncharted sea with nothing to
guide you except the facts you learn as you go along. The success of your
voyage depends on how well you can separate facts from fantasy, how well you
can analyze the facts you discover, and how well you use them to reach the
right conclusions.

In the stock market, the majority are inclined to believe what they are told
in the form of tips, rumors and advice. The minority believe only what they
know to be facts, and then reach their own conclusions by analyzing those
facts.

Still another weakness of the majority is their disbelief in change. Most
people do not expect or prepare for changes in the status quo. They believe
that things will continue indefinitely just as they are right now. When the
stock market goes up, the majority expect it to continue going up
indefinitely. They do not bother to think about the time when the market
will change its course and turn downward.

At the same time, the minority know that change is inevitable, and they are
looking ahead, trying to figure how to tell when the market makes the
change, and planning what actions they will take at that time. The minority
know that every bull market has been followed by a bear market, and that

Asal sudah outperform reksadana (80-100% pertahun), itu sudah lumayan lah.
Kalau 1000% ya bisa aja, tapi mesti jadi insider baru sukses hehe... tapi
kan gak banyak yang seperti itu.

Yang penting target kita mesti realistis, minimal diatas deposito, maksimal
outperform reksadana. 

Mas OB Helpdesk (embah?) sudah kasih daftar emiten yang kinerjanya terbaik,
mestinya bisa jadi guide untuk dapat barang murah dan bagus. Fokus ke 2-3
saham saja, jangan semuanya diambil, ntar pusing sendiri lho... 

Remember, trading should always be fun.

Btw, saya attach something scary biar pada gak bisa tidur..hehehe... just
kidding... :) Sebagai bahan pertimbangan saja, bukan untuk provokasi atau
lainnya. Saya juga lagi ada posisi soalnya. Hehe mudahan bandarnya cukup
"gila" buat naikin ke 2900+. Terus terang saya nggak tahu arahnya kemana,
silahkan prediksi sendiri.

Adakah teman2 OB yang bisa cerita pengalaman merasakan manfaat bermain margin?

Sebenarnya saya sama sekali tidak berminat bermain  margin. Gak suka
ngutang dari dulu. Tapi karena miskomunikasi dengan broker saat order
buy, portfolio saya ada kelebihan LOT. Dengan kata lain, broker saya
membelikan saham lebih daripada yang saya maksudkan. So, broker saya
belanja dengan jumlah yang melebihi jumlah uang yang ada di account
saya.

Besok saya mau anulir kelebihan LOT yang TIDAK saya INGINKAN tersebut
(Bisa gak? Katanya bisa asal complain di bawah 24 jam).

Atau kalau ternyata bermain margin bermanfaat, mungkin saya akan
sekalian aja manfaatkan untuk mengambil keuntungan jika nilai saham
tersebut besok naik :).

yang penting adalah menggunakan sebaik mungkin kekuatan itu, karena 
pertahanan yang paling baik adalah menyerang. Sekiranya kita tidak 
memiliki jaringan intelijen, maka kita tidak pernah tahu apakah serangan 
gencar musuh disebabkan mereka berkelebihan amunisi atau gertakan untuk 
meruntuhkan semangat.

Saya kurang sependapat dengan Anda, tapi cerita Anda tersebut menambah

Bapepam Jatuhi Sanksi Dirut Agis Rp5M   
   

JAKARTA - Badan Pengawas Pasar Modal dan Lembaga Keuangan (Bapepam
LK) menjatuhkan sanksi kepada Direktur Utama PT Agis Tbk (TMPI)
Djonny Kesuma kusuma sebesar Rp5 miliar.

Direksi Agis terbukti telah memberi informasi yang secara material
tidak benar terkait pendataan terhadap dua perusahaan yang sedianya
diakuisisi, yaitu Akira Indonesia dan TT Indonesia. Di mana kedua
perusahaan itu dinyatakan pendapatan dua perusaaan tersebut Rp800
miliar.

Padahal, berdasarkan laporan keuangan kedua perusahaan yang
rencananya diambil alih 31 Maret 2007 lalu itu, total pendapatan
hanya Rp466,8 miliar.

Demikian disampaikan oleh Kepala Biro Perundang-undangan dan
Bantuan Hukum Bapepam LK Robinsdon simbolon di kantornya, di
Jakarta, Senin (17/12/2007).

"Di samping itu, Agis juga telah memberi pernyataan yang
berbeda-beda mengenai jadwal realisasi akuaisisi Akira Indonesia
dan TT Indonesia yang sampai saat ini belum teralisir," kata
Robinson saat jumpa pers malam ini.

Bapepam LK menilai, Agis juga melakukan pelanggaran terkait laporan
keuangan konsolidasi Agis dari salah satu anak-anak perusahaan
yakni PT Agis elektronik.

Dalam laporan laba rugi konsolidasi itu, diuangkapkan Pendapatan
Lain-lain Bersih sebesar Rp29,4 miliar yang berasal dari laporan
keuangan Agis Elektronik yang tidak didukung dengan bukti kompeten
dan kesalahan penerapan prinsip akuntansi.

"Dengan demikian, laporan keuangan Agis elektronik adalah tidak
wajar dan berakibat laporan keuangan Agis juga tidak wajar," lanjut
Robinson. 

Oleh sebab itu, imbuhnya, Bapepam menjatuhkan sanksi kepada
Direktur Utama Agis Elektronik Bintoro tjitrowirjo, yang juga
sebagai Direktur Agis, dan Eka Hikmawati selaku Direktur Agis
Elektronik dan juga menjabat sebagai Direktur Agis dengan denda
masing-masing Rp1 miiar.

Pak AA,
intinya: pembayaran terhadap pembelian/penjualan saham adalah T+3. jadi T+3
setelah transaksi bapak harus menyerahkan/menerima dana tersebut. [kecuali
pak tbumi tuh katanya bisa lebih cepat].
so, kl senin bapak kelebihan beli dari jumlah uang bapak, maka hari kamis
bapak harus menambahkan kekurangan dana tersebut.
meskipun hari selasa bapak jualan senilai kelebihan tersebut, setidak2nya
bapak akan kena interest sehari [uang bapak akan cair hari jumat kan].
begono ceritanya pak... semoga bermanfaat

Broad based pressure to start the day/week with last week's worries (inflation, 
credit markets), overseas weakness, and weekend comments from Greenspan 
(mentioned stagflation) cited as market concerns. Technically, the poor close 
to last week/negative candlestick alluded to follow through pressure with the 
indices trending slowly but steadily lower most of the day. The Dow and Nasdaq 
Comp joined the S&P 500 below their 200 day averages while the Russell 200 came 
within roughly four points of its Nov/52-wk close low at 735 (52-wk intraday 
low 734). 

The worst performing sectors were paced by Airline -5.2%, Steel -3.7%, Internet 
HOLDRs -3.5%, Oil Service -3.2%, Paper -2.7%, Chemical -2.7%, Restaurant -2.3%, 
Mining -2.2%, Software -2.1%, Networking -2%, Biotech HOLDRs -2% and Telecom 
-2%.

16:25 ET Dow -172.65 at 13167.20, Nasdaq -61.28 at 2574.46, S&P -22.05 at 
1445.90 : 

[BRIEFING.COM] The new week began much like the old week ended - on a decidedly 
lower note.  
Today's downdraft was fed by familiar concerns related to the financial sector 
that were identified by Citigroup in a downgrade of multiple banking stocks 
that included Bank of America (BAC 41.70, -0.46), JPMorgan Chase (JPM 44.53, 
-0.67) and US Bancorp (USB 31.81, -0.87) to name a few. Separately, a Morgan 
Stanley downgrade of leading industrial company Caterpillar (CAT 71.16, -2.23) 
from Equal Weight to Underweight also weighed on the market as it played into 
concerns about a slowing pace of capital investment and global economic growth. 
The Caterpillar downgrade overshadowed Ingersoll-Rand's (IR 43.68, -5.58) 
announcement that it is going to acquire Trane (TT 45.24, +8.04) for 
approximately $10.2 billion.  That wasn't the only notable deal this Monday.  
National Oilwell Varco (NOV 70.69, -6.68) stepped up with a $7.5 billion offer 
to acquire Grant Prideco (GRP 53.91, +6.45), a recommended holding in 
Briefing.com's Active Portfolio that has gained
 close to 130% since its inclusion. In keeping with the broader market mood, 
neither deal sparked much residual buying interest.  In fact, the industrials 
(-1.7%) and energy (-2.1%) sectors were among today's worst-performing areas. 
The materials (-3.1%) sector suffered the largest loss as growth concerns drove 
selling interest in the deep cyclical space.  Technology (-2.1%) was another 
hard-hit area as large-cap components were targets for today's sellers. Like 
Friday, there wasn't a single winner from a sector standpoint.  The lack of 
leadership was evident in the major indices which, once again, finished 
basically at their lows for the day.

On a comparative basis, the financial sector (-0.9%) outperformed as gains in 
bond insurance companies MBIA (MBI 28.54, +0.94) and Ambac Financial (ABK 
26.66, +3.85) provided a measure of support.  Both companies benefited from 
news that Moody's decided to maintain their triple-A ratings. Overall, though, 
winners were few and far in between.  Decliners outpaced advancers at the NYSE 
and Nasdaq by a healthy margin.  Losses in the equity market fed another 
flight-to-safety bid in Treasuries that saw the 10-year note jump 23 ticks and 
its yield fall to 4.14%. A weaker than expected regional manufacturing report 
also provided a lift for the Treasury market.  Before the open, it was reported 
that the New York Empire State Index showed a reading of 10.3 for November.  
While a number above zero reflects growth, the reading was well below the prior 
month's reading of 27.7 and the consensus estimate of 20.0.  The market didn't 
show much reaction to the Q3 Current
 Account Deficit and October Net Foreign Purchases reports, both of which were 
better than expected.

(Indofinanz) - PT Polysindo Eka Perkasa Tbk akan menggenjot kapasitas produksi 
hingga 80 persen tahun 2008 ketimbang tahun ini dengan kapasitas 70 persen. 
Dengan peningkatan kapasitas tersebut diperkirakan pendapatan emiten berkode 
POLY itu bakal menebal menjadi US$420 juta ketimbang tahun ini yang 
diproyeksikan US$380 juta. Perseroan telah membahas anggara belanja modal tahun 
depan untuk merealisasikan target pendapatan tersebut. Sumber pendanaan belanja 
modal tahun depan bisa dari pinjaman perbankan, suntikan modal dari pemegang 
saham. Polysindo diketahui telah mendapatkan injeksi dana sebesar US$47 juta 
dari Damiano BV dan masih memerlukan US$40 juta lagi.
