[onap-discuss] [cli] [policy] other onap cli resources

2017-07-05 Thread HERNANDEZ-HERRERO, JORGE
Hello CLI team,

I would like to bring to your attention some capabilities we are making use in
the policy/drools-pdp project to provide a CLI shell which wraps its REST APIs.
It capitalizes in third party tooling: http-prompt + swagger specification
to provide a filesystem-like navigation illusion (using cd, and ls) with auto
completion. One of the things that may be different after going through the
CLI project documentation is that it provides a non-flat, hierarchical
structure of resources, on which operations can be applied (the http verbs).
Doc is primitive on our side, but you can check its basic usage on the 2
subpages of
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Deploying+and+Debugging+the+Policy+Platform
(telemetry shell).

Best regards,
Jorge

Re: [onap-discuss] [clamp][holmes][dcae][policy]CLAMP - Policy - DCAE - HOLMES meeting

2017-07-05 Thread HERNANDEZ-HERRERO, JORGE
Greetings Guangrong,

I’d like to point out that policy/drools-pdp project repo contains a generic
drools engine which is similar in scope to what Holmes provides. It is
currently used by what we call operational policies, but it is *generic* and
can be used for any flavor of rules, as long as they are mavenized and
drools-based applications. It supports interaction through the DMaaP and
generic REST servers capabilities. It just seems to me there is a bit of
synergy between what the “Holmes” (the actual Holmes box in the diagram) and
what the drools-pdp project currently does. I will be glad to share
additional information if interested. I could also join first half of the
DCAE meeting tomorrow if you wish to talk more about it.

Best regards,

Jorge

Is there a normative set of RFCs/standards that we plan to adhere to for the
YANG work in ONAP?
I’m asking as an observer (without specific YANG expertise :-) wanting to make
sure we pave the way for a coherent developer experience moving forward.

The ONAP Wiki references RFC
6020
(YANG 1.0) -- is this superseded (?) by RFC
7950
 (YANG 1.1)?

And then there’s the JSON encoding proposed in RFC
7951.
It would be useful to consolidate around a consistent representation, given
that different toolchains/consumers may need to interoperate.

Is there a need to reference the various core data models (RFCs
6991,

7223,

7317,
and all their friends), or is their use otherwise clearly implied?

There was discussion along these lines in the “VNF Management Requirements for
OpenECOMP”
document,
which is seeded into the VNF Requirements project. Maybe the questions I’m
asking (and those that Kedar posed previously) just ought to be referred to
that workstream…

Thanks!

Re: [onap-discuss] [multicloud] Multi-VIM API

2017-07-05 Thread NOSHPITZ, CLAUDE
It sounds like the immediate-term goal is just to provide a nearly-transparent
wrapper around OpenStack API structures. This would evidently leverage
Keystone (or some service-catalog function that is very Keystone-like) to
return appropriate endpoints based on metadata according to "specific
parameters (coming from AAI)".

That said, it's not clear how we intend to bridge this approach to multi-VIM
scenarios in the sense of providers that aren't OpenStack or even
OpenStack-like. It makes sense that the crawl-walk-run approach would dictate
doing what we already know how to do (OpenStack API) first – but it is
important to keep an eye on the near-horizon, where commercial CSPs and other
private-cloud implementations are going to be of direct relevance.

Is there a notion that it’d be possible over time to create OpenStack-like
wrappers over other infrastructure providers, create custom Heat resources, and
so on?

Or are we more aligned with a move toward provider-neutral data models and
abstracted API adapters?

As a matter of personal opinion, I’d prefer the latter… but there could be fair
reasons to take a different approach.

Thanks!

Subject: [onap-discuss] [multicloud] Multi-VIM API

We need to clarify the API definition. The Multi-VIM will be used by SO, APPC,
VFC for Infra Resource and VNF LCM.

SO, APPC, VFC will not use OpenStack direct API to request resource creation
(using Heat or Nova API). SO, APPC & VFC will request the Multi-VIM API (to be
defined).

SO, APPC, VFC require some specific parameters (coming from AAI) to route
towards the right VIM

It is key to define the multi-VIM northbound API for the various components
that will consume it.

Eric

[onap-discuss] [multicloud] Multi-VIM API

2017-07-05 Thread eric.debeau
We need to clarify the API definition. The Multi-VIM will be used by SO, APPC,
VFC for Infra Resource and VNF LCM.

SO, APPC, VFC will not use OpenStack direct API to request resource creation
(using Heat or Nova API). SO, APPC & VFC will request the Multi-VIM API (to be
defined).

SO, APPC, VFC require some specific parameters (coming from AAI) to route
towards the right VIM

It is key to define the multi-VIM northbound API for the various components
that will consume it.

Regards,

Eric

Hi All,

My ONAP deployment has a message-router component deployed. I guess, this is
the message bus, DMaaP. I tried to look at the source code of DMaaP but the
project file is empty. Is the source code of DMaaP not open sourced?
Can someone point me the location of the source code of DMaaP?

Subject: [onap-discuss] SDN-C Code flow Queries

Hi There,

We are trying to understand the SDN-C code flow from its Northbound interface
to Southbound Controllers which manage the controlled devices.

Following is our understanding till now (build from ONAP Wiki and code reading):

1) SDN-C is based on ODL framework

>> yes

2) ONAP has added SLI which understands the network configuration workflow
>> yes

3) The DG builder builds different models (using YANG, XML). These models
are then converted into SVC Recopies [Recipies]
>> not quite. DG Builder builds the logic for processing rpc requests that are
>> in yang models. 1 rpc == 1 DG

  >> 1 DG can call other DGs as needed to keep the size of any
single DG manageable and to create re-useable DGs

4) SLI consumes into SVC Recopies to execute the network configuration
workflow contained in the recipe
>> yes the RPC in the yang model is a service recipe - the "input" data is the
>> minimum data set needed for the service.
>> the directed graph would then execute to fill out the rest of the containers
>> in the model in the right sequence including assigning resources and
>> calculating attributs as needed. Finally the DG at the ends of the branches
>> would convert/map network data to the device specific attributes in config
>> nodes.

5) Effectively the workflow is passed to one of he underlying Network
Adaptors which actually configure the necessary network resources
>> I hesitate to call it a workflow - it is procedural logic meant to run to
>> complete quickly and deal with devices not people and uses in some cases
>> network signaling protocols like BGP
>> it is the adapters that do the real work of "safe changes in state" of the
>> network which includes things like applying engineering rules to the
>> resource assignments and calculated network attributes (think calculating
>> static routes from newly assigned ip addresses for example)

6) The update (success/ failure) is sent to MSO and AAI once the request
is complete
>> yes. Although the response is to MSO. AAI is updated on success or failure
>> as appropriate. SDNC is the source of truth for network data in AAI that is
>> set/configured/assingned by SDNC.

Following are the code modules we know till now:

1) From MSO mso-sdn-adaptor calls VNFAPIProvider() in SDNCAdpaterRest.java

2) VNFApiProvider() - receives the request and invokes the
activate/configure services
>> the VNFApiProvider is the simplest case of MSO-SDNC interaction and really
>> is used for dealing with L4-L7 VNFs that have a need for resource assignment
>> but not any controller configuration.

Questions:

  1. We have seen multiple entry pointers across SDN-C/SLI, dmaplisterner,
uebClient, admportal and dgbuilder. But the interaction of these with each
other, VnfAPIProvider() and southbound interfaces is not clear

>> you need to separate design time / onboarding vs run time.

>> dgbuilder is used as design time to create directed graphs. It is not used
>> during run time. In fact we dont deploy it in production SDNC instnaces we
>> use the desktop version and check the json strings into git.

>> admin portal is only used to load/modify directed graphs and interact with
>> mysql at design time if needed.

>> uebclient is deprecated and it will go away - it was replaced with the
>> dmapplistener

>> dmaaplistener is used during onboarding when new models are distributed from
>> SDNC

>> SDNC/SLI is the run time component that is called when a REST RPC request is
>> sent into the controller. A provider class is called by the rpc and this in
>> turn pulls the xml form of the directed graph from mysql and calls the
>> "execute" function othe SvcLogic object.

2) Post, VnfAPIProvider() how the allocateResourceL3SDN()and later the
Southbound Adpator APIs are called is not known

  >> SDNC is nto demonstrating them in this release. The southbound
adapter of interest in SDNC is probably the aai adapter. You can see how the DG
updates AAI in the activate and delete sub-direcged graphs

  >> I would also point you to the tutorial on the wiki on the
creating a netconf mount on APPC from SDNC's VNF API DG.

While we are trying to understand the code further, if anyone can give some
pointers or explain the codeflow on a broader level, it would be extremely
helpful.

Thanks,

Arun Arora

Hi Michael,

Couple of questions around YANG.

1. If I have YANG model from VNF Vendor in JSON format, can I use it in
SDC ? Or it accepts only in XML format ?

2. Not remember where, but I read that ONAP SDC does not distribute YANG
model to SDNC. Is this correct ?

3. If # 2 is correct, can YANG be fed directly to SDNC by invoking any
API ? ODL API ?

Thank you..

The current guide line is that the file be a valid xml and that the file ending
be.xml.
No additional requirements/validations are done for this artifact.

Hi ONAPers:

There is an option in SDC to add deployment artefacts as part of the service

Hello

On the SDC wiki
(https://wiki.onap.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1015837),
2 documents are referenced for the SDC documentation, but are not available on
the wiki.

<>, under the section "Design", describes how to use
the SDC.

See the <> for a specific example of how to onboard a
Virtual Network Function, using SDC.
Is it possible to upload them ?

Thanks.

Eric

Re: [onap-discuss] [sdc] Error while using openecomp-ui / webseal simulator

2017-07-05 Thread Lando,Michael
The option of openecomp ui will only allow you access to the onboarding.
For full functionality you will still need the webseal simulator to access the
system.

Since you are setting up you private envurment please share the full process
you did so that we will be able to upload it and share it with all users.

Hi Michael,

Prime intent for me is to stand-up SDC on stand-alone mode and explore the
functionality ( and potential extensions ) of SDC.
Going through
READ.ME,
I understood that, webseal simulator / openecomp-ui can be used to talk to SDC
FE without having to come via portal application.

That's where I ran npm start under openecomp-ui and hit with above issue.

Could you help me test SDC in standalone mode? Please let me know what am i
missing w.r.t configuration.

Viswa

Yup. I did a full build using mvn clean install under sdc-main root.
Then, ran npm install under dox-sequence-diagram-ui, openecomp-u.
Then, rebuilt node-saas module ( hit error on MAC OS ).

And finally changed devConfig.json to point to sdc-be and then hit npm start.

It went on for a while and then hit with above error.

Re: [onap-discuss] DCAE Collector: Missing Listener on Port 8080 for messages from Firewall

2017-07-05 Thread VENKATESH KUMAR, VIJAY
Josef,
The listener runs inside the dcae-collector-common-event service on the DCAE
col VM.

Once you are inside the container - you could run below to confirm

1)  Run -> netstat -an | grep 8080

Should get something like below

tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:80800.0.0.0:* LISTEN

Also if you tail on VES manager logs (/opt/app/manager/logs/manager.log) - it
would report health status info.

2) If #1 doesn't give any result and manager reports
VESCollecter_Is_Not_Running, then you could bring it up manually
"/opt/app/VESCollector/bin/VESrestfulCollector.sh start" command.

Thanks,
Vijay

Folks,
I was at a point where I could see measurement data to be sent from the
firewall to DCAE controller, port 8080. Since a restart last Friday, the
listener on port 8080 has vanished. More details here:

Any hint for me?

[onap-discuss] SDC R1 commitment and meeting setup

2017-07-05 Thread Lando,Michael
Hi,
I am trying to collect a commitment for R1 from the people who signed on to
contribute to the project.
I am attaching a link to the mail with a place to input in a percentage of how
much time you will be able to dedicate to SDC work in this release.
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Resources+and+Repositories#ResourcesandRepositories-ServiceDesign

In addition I am attaching a poll to select a time where we can start having
our weekly meeting since we are all located in different time zones this will
allow us to sync the meeting tie so that people will be able to attend.
Since the people who are who want to contribute are spared in different
countries we will not be able to have a single meeting that will accommodate
all so as a solution we will have two meeting.

https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__doodle.com_poll_8e7z4x4w6gxa7ih2=DwIFaQ=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg=FYvXSElfSmWIXOeZxWIxQysejuz9-TXmaL6uftBh8MY=kKgcxHaW7dHM6LwRzsmsacJV3sSoiCsTZ9tOjDLp1Q4=2El6kSfb3gV5joL4mX7aNq4en8wPhSHAJfFIsLRAjbI=

If anyone wants to join the project feel free to add yourself to the resources
list.

If you are receiving the mail and you do not plane to contribute please remove
yourself from the resource list.

Once we finalize this items I we create a mailing list for the project.

Re: [onap-discuss] [sdc] What is the purpose of on-boarding module in SDC project ?

2017-07-05 Thread Avi Ziv
Hi Viswa,

SDC is comprised of two applications: OnBoard and Catalog.

OnBoard – you literally onboard the VSP data
Catalog – Create a VF element from this VSP, to be used in the service design

The build POM file for ALL will run the build for the catalog and the
onboarding,
Onboarding are the following project folders, as defined in the
onboarding/pom.xml file:

common,
openecomp-be
openecomo-ui

Hope this helps ☺

Bye,

Subject: [onap-discuss] [sdc] What is the purpose of on-boarding module in SDC
project ?

Dear All,

READ.ME file of SDC project explains the basic project
structure as follows:

"SDC is built from several projects, while "sdc-main" contains the main pom.xml
for all project:
  catalog-be - backend code
catalog-fe - frontend java code (servlet, proxy)
 catalog-dao - database layer
catalog-model - data model of the application
catalog-ui - front end code (javascript, html, css)
common-app-api - common code for frontend and backend
common-be - utilities, datatypes and enums
 security-utils - handle encryption/decryption of passwords "

However when I clone SDC code, I see a module named "on-boarding" as well. I
don't see that linked with build & catalog profile. It is available in default
"All" maven profile.

Could you somebody explain the purpose of this module?

Viswa

2017-07-05 Thread VENKATESH KUMAR, VIJAY
Hi Guangrong,
Just following up to our discussion this morning; the #2 (deployment) is
identified in the “Service Instantiation flow” on this diagram -
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/DCAE+R1+Release+Planning#DCAER1ReleasePlanning-Architecture
The pre-requisite here is the service blueprint already distributed and made
available to DCAE (part of design flow).

Thanks,

Hi Guangrong,

1. In the current CLAMP design the settings of the configuration of
Micro-service (so in this case Holmes rules) are made in CLAMP and send as
policies to Policy. Policy then distributes them to the micro-service. Those
are called in CLAMP configuration policies.
In my previous emails I was talking about policies for policy itself (called in
CLAMP operational policies) so not the configuration/rulings of micro-services
which is different. Anyway, this is still under discussion! And at this point
is just talk, so nothing has been implemented or finalized yet in that
direction for operational policies (Policy specific rules) used by Policy
itself!!.

2. Yes, CLAMP talks to DCAE to trigger the deployment of DCAE
micro-services.

Martial

Hi Martial,

Two more questions:

1. According your previous email, policy rules are designed in CLAMP and
distributed by SDC. Then which system will be responsible for designing and
distributing Holmes rules? CLAMP or SDC?

2. What's the workflow to deploy analytic apps/collectors to DCAE? Will
CLAMP portal talk with DCAE to deploy them?

Thanks in advnace.

Guangrong

Hi Guangrong,

Yes, you need to ask help from Lusheng.

Concerning the Policy, the direction of the design is to have SDC directly
distributing policy rules to Policy (instead of CLAMP), but this is still under
design.

Morning Martial,

Do you mean I have to turn to Lusheng for help?

My understanding is that since the template in CLAMP is exactly the same as the
blueprint in DCAE, if Holmes could translate the template given by CLAMP, there
will be no problem for it to interpret the blueprint provided by DCAE.
Therefore, what matters now is that I need to have a clear idea on how the
template is mapped into the rule so that I could have a better understanding on
how the whole stuff works. That's the reason I asked for a sample from both
CLAMP and Policy.

In a nutshell, I need to know how the rule is defined in the template and then
converted into the format which could be consumed by the drools engine.

I hope I've made myself clear.

Thanks,

Guangrong

[onap-discuss] SDN-C Code flow Queries

2017-07-05 Thread Arun Arora (c)
Hi There,

We are trying to understand the SDN-C code flow from its Northbound interface
to Southbound Controllers which manage the controlled devices.

Following is our understanding till now (build from ONAP Wiki and code reading):

1) SDN-C is based on ODL framework

2) ONAP has added SLI which understands the network configuration workflow

3) The DG builder builds different models (using YANG, XML). These models
are then converted into SVC Recopies

4) SLI consumes into SVC Recopies to execute the network configuration
workflow contained in the recipe

5) Effectively the workflow is passed to one of he underlying Network
Adaptors which actually configure the necessary network resources

6) The update (success/ failure) is sent to MSO and AAI once the request
is complete

Following are the code modules we know till now:

1) From MSO mso-sdn-adaptor calls VNFAPIProvider() in SDNCAdpaterRest.java

2) VNFApiProvider() – receives the request and invokes the
activate/configure services

Questions:

1) We have seen multiple entry pointers across SDN-C/SLI, dmaplisterner,
uebClient, admportal and dgbuilder. But the interaction of these with each
other, VnfAPIProvider() and southbound interfaces is not clear

2) Post, VnfAPIProvider() how the allocateResourceL3SDN()and later the
Southbound Adpator APIs are called is not known

While we are trying to understand the code further, if anyone can give some
pointers or explain the codeflow on a broader level, it would be extremely
helpful.

Thanks,

Arun Arora

On the latest code you do not need to run npm install.
It is part of the mvn build flow.
In order to create a valide wars for our application you only need to run mavn

Subject: [onap-discuss] [SDC] Need your help to deploy SDC

Hi All,

I am trying to enable SDC in the demo one is from Cassandra, seen fro project,
the ONAP is on top of vanilla OpenStack, just want to have a try on how it
works from portal, but I got bunches of issues and the latest m the log it
seems like 9042 port is not available (log is attached), so I go to the
container and run /root/startup.sh manually, firstly, I can access the DB, but
some mins later I cannot access the DB anymore,

This is what I get from the DB couple of mins after run startup.sh.

# cqlsh -u cassandra -p Aa1234%^! 10.0.3.1

Namespaces:

cassandra@cqlsh> DESCRIBE keyspaces;

system_auth titan sdcaudit sdcartifact

sdccomponent system dox system_traces

I check both 9160 and 9042 inside container, seems like they are opened,
root@5aad37f3ec48:/var/log/cassandra# netstat -anp | grep 9042
tcp6   0  0 0.0.0.0:9042:::*LISTEN
-
root@5aad37f3ec48:/var/log/cassandra# netstat -anp | grep 9160
tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:91600.0.0.0:* LISTEN
-

But when I try to connect to the DB again, I see,
root@5aad37f3ec48:/var/log/cassandra# cqlsh -u cassandra -p Aa1234%^! 10.0.3.1
Connection error: ('Unable to connect to any servers', {'10.0.3.1':
OperationTimedOut('errors=None, last_host=None',)})

Also, I saw those message from console,
Fri Jun 30 01:39:52 UTC 2017 --- cqlsh is NOT enabled to connect yet. sleep 5

Looks like those info comes from /tmp/create_cassandra_user.sh.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Best Regards,
Dave Chen

Hey there,

I’m trying to compile the SDC repo[1] with the command `mvn clean install

I’m getting the following error:

During the compilation of onboarding-ui-war module, I tried updating the
node.js and npm versions and adding some dependencies(like coffe, istambul and
others) without any success. I just wondering if there is a missing step or
dependency for that compilation.

Thanks

As subash mentioned in earlier mail, we ran below command first and ROBOT test
cases passed successfully.
# demo.sh init_customer

To double check, we have verified from A and the customer named
‘Demonstration’ was created properly.
Then we ran the command
# demo.sh init
At this time, test cases was failed with report, saying HTTP status code should
be 201, but it was giving 200.
As we have already created the customer with init_customer command, we have
updated the test case to consider
Status code 200 and proceed further, which helped us to run the init command
successfully. At this point, VID shown up both vFW and vLB got listed.

Now when we try to deploy vFW, VID is not listing any subscriber though
init_customer is passed and A reported them properly.
So, Could someone from VID portal team, kindly help here to fix the issue ?

Subhash,

I had the same observation with new "new" HEAT template which uses 2 AAI VMs.
reverting back to the previous HEAT template (with one VM for AAI) has solved
this issue for me.
Btw, running demo.sh init second time creates an error (I believe this is also
discussed in this mailing list in the last week or the week before the last)

Subhash,
HI, just an observation – you may want to run demo.sh init (as it runs both
./demo.sh init_customer and ./demo.sh distribute) – you may be missing the
models.
See the recommended demo call here

2017-07-05 Thread Lando,Michael
Hi,
We need to update our readme file.
The sdc project has two parts
One is called onboarding and one is the catalog.
The onboarding is responsible for the conversion from heat into tosca.
This tosca is imported and enchased using the catalog part and then distributed.

Subject: [onap-discuss] [sdc] What is the purpose of on-boarding module in SDC

Dear All,

READ.ME
file of SDC project explains the basic project structure as follows:

"SDC is built from several projects, while "sdc-main" contains the main pom.xml
for all project:
  catalog-be - backend code
catalog-fe - frontend java code (servlet, proxy)
 catalog-dao - database layer
catalog-model - data model of the application
catalog-ui - front end code (javascript, html, css)
common-app-api - common code for frontend and backend
common-be - utilities, datatypes and enums
 security-utils - handle encryption/decryption of passwords "

However when I clone SDC code, I see a module named "on-boarding" as well. I
don't see that linked with build & catalog profile. It is available in default
"All" maven profile.

Could you somebody explain the purpose of this module?

Hi Martial,

Two more questions:

1. According your previous email, policy rules are designed in CLAMP and
distributed by SDC. Then which system will be responsible for designing and
distributing Holmes rules? CLAMP or SDC?

2. What's the workflow to deploy analytic apps/collectors to DCAE? Will
CLAMP portal talk with DCAE to deploy them?

Thanks in advnace.

Yes, you need to ask help from Lusheng.

Concerning the Policy, the direction of the design is to have SDC directly
distributing policy rules to Policy (instead of CLAMP), but this is still under

Thanks,

Guangrong

Hi Guangrong,

To be clear and precise, CLAMP template = DCAE blueprint. So what we refer to
as CLAMP template is really DCAE template that CLAMP customize and send to
SDC. SDC then distribute this template to DCAE Orchestrator.

Hi Martial,

As agreed at the last weekly meeting of CLAMP, I’m sending a (quite simple but
easy-to-understand) sample rule of Holmes (see below). To create such a rule,
some information for alarm identification, such as alarm code or alarm name,
resource (where the alarm is raised) information, etc. must be provided in

Hi,
I just want to align.

First
docker_version: 1.0-STAGING-latest
gerrit_branch: release-1.0.0

for release one were you successful in running the demo flow?

docker_version: 1.1-STAGING-latest
gerrit_branch: master

for release candidate were you successful in running the demo?

Regarding the error you saw in the kibana please open a defect for us and we
will review it.

The kibana is an additional functionality that is available in our application
it does not impact the product functionality concerning the demo flow.

Regarding the vid issue you are seeing are you using the same version of vid
and sdc (1.1-STAGING-latest for both)?

Re: [onap-discuss] [clamp][holmes] A Sample Rule of Holmes &  a Question on CLAMP

2017-07-05 Thread Ngueko, Gervais-Martial

Martial

blueprint in DCAE, if Holmes could translate the template given by CLAMP, there
will be no problem for it to interpret the blueprint provided by DCAE.

Thanks,

Guangrong

主 题 :RE: [clamp][holmes] A Sample Rule of Holmes & a Question on CLAMP

Hi Guangrong,

To be clear and precise, CLAMP template = DCAE blueprint. So what we refer to
as CLAMP template is really DCAE template that CLAMP customize and send to
SDC. SDC then distribute this template to DCAE Orchestrator.

Martial

Hi Chen,

I have created two setups with
artifacts_version: 1.1.0-SNAPSHOT
docker_version: 1.1-STAGING-latest / 1.0-STAGING-latest
gerrit_branch: release-1.0.0

With docker version 1.1-STAGING-latest, I found the error you are getting.

Hi Ajay,

Thanks for your feedback!
I think that is not the root cause in my side, I just need wait more time so
that backend can connect with Cassandra, but SDC still cannot work, health
checkup scripts always show me Titan graph is down, I have reinstalled ONAP and
change the environment as below (as mentioned in another thread):
  * artifacts_version:  from 1.0.0
 to 1.1.0-SNAPSHOT
  * docker_version:from 1.0-STAGING-latest to latest

Still doesn't work.

Ajay, how you ever enabled SDC? What's the artefact version and the docker
version are you using?

sdc-es seems to fail as well,
$ sudo docker logs sdc-es

Hi Dave chen,

I observed this issue as using openstack_float, and found that CS and ES were
not able to connect. Although this time all routing is working fine.
Errors:

1. stderrout.log
com.datastax.driver.core.exceptions.NoHostAvailableException: All host(s) tried
for query failed (tried: /10.64.105.82:9042
(com.datastax.driver.core.TransportException: [/10.64.105.82:9042] Cannot
connect))

2. /data/logs/BE/ASDC/ASDC-BE/error.log

2017-06-23T06:12:11.828Z|||ES-Health-Check-Thread||ASDC-BE||ERROR|||192.168.3.1||o.o.sdc.be.dao.impl.ESCatalogDAO||ActivityType=,
 Desc=

Resolution:
File /opt/config/public_ip.txt uses sdc_floating_ip (public ip). Even (CS is up
on -host-ip 0.0.0.0 -host-port 9042, ES is on -host-ip 0.0.0.0 -host-port
9200). I changed the /opt/config/public_ip.txt value to private_ip .

You also have same error
Caused by: com.datastax.driver.core.exceptions.NoHostAvailableException: All
host(s) tried for query failed (tried: /192.168.4.116:9042
(com.datastax.driver.core.TransportException: [/192.168.4.116:9042] Cannot
connect))

My cassandra was also showing all required namespaces, but unable to serve. So
I observed and resolved as above. Hopefully it help you.

Regards,
Ajay Priyadarshi

Hi All,

I am trying to enable SDC in the demo project, the ONAP is on top of vanilla
OpenStack, just want to have a try on how it works from portal, but I got
bunches of issues and the latest one is from Cassandra, seen from the log it
seems like 9042 port is not available (log is attached), so I go to the
container and run /root/startup.sh manually, firstly, I can access the DB, but
some mins later I cannot access the DB anymore,

This is what I get from the DB couple of mins after run startup.sh.

# cqlsh -u cassandra -p Aa1234%^! 10.0.3.1

Namespaces:

cassandra@cqlsh> DESCRIBE keyspaces;

system_auth titan sdcaudit sdcartifact

sdccomponent system dox system_traces

I check both 9160 and 9042 inside container, seems like they are opened,

root@5aad37f3ec48:/var/log/cassandra# netstat -anp | grep 9042

tcp6   0  0 0.0.0.0:9042:::*LISTEN
-

root@5aad37f3ec48:/var/log/cassandra# netstat -anp | grep 9160

tcp0 0 0.0.0.0:91600.0.0.0:* LISTEN
-
