Iirc, OI version numbering will change with first stable release, wh/I
think will be something like 1.0.x, or 1.0_RELEASE, or maybe that was
RELEASE-1.0. Not 100% sure about the names. This was touched upon during
#oi-meeting yesterday, the specifics of which were left for further
discussion. In any case, similar to FreeBSD with RELEASE, TESTING/DEV,
and EXPERIMENTAL branches.

Oracle have sorta said that they will release all the changes they
have made to ZFS (and some other changes) after they have finally
released Solaris 11, because the ZFS was "Open Source" ... and we
might then be able to incorporate the changes that they have made into
Illumos ...

However Oracle own the code, so if they want to change the License to
a non-"Open Source" one, they are probably within their rights ...

I don't usually complain if Samba does not work well with Microsoft
Windows ... I usually rejoice when it does, likewise I won't expect an
Open system to mirror one that is currently closed and without
specification.

Of course it's me, but i think it suggests it's on par with sol 11 express
which is snv_151a.
As oi_147/8 was based on snv_147/8

But as we of course have to get used to oi being a real fork of solaris, why
not change the numbering scheme ?

How is this misleading? I don't see how '151' implies 'zfs/zpool

But of course I will manage to test oi_151, thank you all for this great job.

Hello,

After upgrading oi-148 to oi-151 using the /dev-il

oi-148 I had version 28, but now I have this:

kzin$ /usr/sbin/zfs upgrade -v
The following filesystem versions are supported:

VER DESCRIPTION
---
 1 Initial ZFS filesystem version
 2 Enhanced directory entries
3 Case insensitive and File system unique identifier (FUID)
 4 userquota, groupquota properties
 5 System attributes

supported releases,

see the ZFS Administration Guide.

kzin$

Does anyone know why this may be happening? Thanks.
