[openmeetings-user] help

2011-02-18 Thread Luis Blasco de la Cruz
Hello

I will try to explain all i did to install because i need to work with my
web

I have a moodle installation with chess arbiters courses. Until now i gave
the lessons by videoconference with dim dim without any problem, but dim dim
now is in process to dissapear so i need to change my videoconference way.

I try with bluebotton and others but doesnt work easily so finally i decided
to try openmeetings. All people told me that it is the best way for
videoconference but all people says its difficult to start with it too.

I have a windows 7.

I downloaded openmeetings for windows, moodle plugin, complementary programs
like open office, etc. I installed moodle plugin and it works (i mean create
tables and module). Later i installed all programs , java, openffice,
image.

I dont find setup.xcu to change parameters in open office. I have the last
version

I installed mysql and create user and database.
And it was the moment to run script http://localhost.openmeetings/install
but here my work stopsappears a message telling "waiting for localhost"
and here i dont know what more else to do or to see.

Can you help me?

Re: [openmeetings-user] Re: Moodle Video

2011-02-18 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Hi Holymyck,

no you cannot access (and should not access it that way)

Howevery you can just add recordings to a course in moodle already. If you
choose the values *show recording* when you create a new activity using the
existing module you should be able to pick a recording instead of creating a
conference room. The new activity in the moodle conference room will then be
a recorded file from openmeetings.

Hi Tuan,

you might should try to restart the red5-service everytime you change the
mail config, the Java process has some memory cache for the values that
needs to be flushed.

[openmeetings-user] How to configure gmail SMTP in OpenMeetings

2011-02-18 Thread TQTuan
Hi all,
I have installed sucessffully OpenMeetings r3643 (http://i4demo.com/
openmeetings/builds/459/openmeetings_r3643.zip) in CentOS 5. So I want
to configure the mail function in OpenMeetings.
In the Administration ---> Configuration, I have some parameters :
- smtp_server = smtp.gmail.com
- smtp_port = 587
- system_mail_addr = my_em...@gmail.com
- email_username = my_em...@gmail.com
- email_userpass = my_password
- mail.smtp.starttls.enable = 1 (true)
- sendEmailAtRegister = 1
- sendEmailWithVerficationCode = 1

But I have registered a new user, in console environment, it has an
exception : "java.lang.SecurityException: Access to default session
denied"
I think that my configuration is wrong. Could you help me to solve
this problem to connect gmail server?

Thank in advance for all helps!
Best regard

Re: [openmeetings-user] Re: LDAP and user name length limit

2011-02-18 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
I think the username lenght is hardcoded at the moment and indeed it had sth
todo with the SIP Gateway (but that needed 6 chars in lenght minimum).

If you could add an Issue to *add config param in the Administration to
configure min username length*, I'll integrate that into the next release.

Re: [openmeetings-user] Re: OM and zimbra email system

2011-02-18 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Hallo Crawford,

the Zimlet was basically ready with SSO from Zimbra to OpenMeetings.
But we had no time yet to finish it in detail and it requires a little bit
more then just installing a Zimlet cause you need to also add some RPC
function in the build in http container of Zimbra to proxy the SOAP Calls.

[openmeetings-user] Re: OM and zimbra email system

2011-02-18 Thread Crawford Rainwater
Folks:

I was wondering how this Zimlet is coming along for one. Has anyone also
tested this Zimlet on Zimbra v7.0 series (released 08 February 2011) yet as
well? I would not mind taking a look and even offering a demo Zimbra server
(licensed Network Edition version or Open Source version) for such as well.

Some side questions/thoughts with using such together perhaps:
- Would using a Zimbra Zimlet replace the OpenMeetings webmail panels
perhaps or be an addition to said webmail panels?
- Zimbra v7.0 removed the XMPP chat client (was in version 6.0). Thoughts
on this with a Zimlet if any?

Thoughts, comments, and feedback are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
