Hi, I am getting a Permission Denied (Error code-403) for what all actions done like fetching friendslist, scrap books etc. However, Authentication is working properly and Auth Tokens are created by Orkut Service and returned to my Application Software. org.apache.http.NoHttpResponseException: The target server failed to respond is the Exception thrown when calling the API. org.apache.http.client.ClientProtocolException exception is also thrown for each of the httprequest. This occurs when the org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute() method is invoked. So could you please locate this and solve as soon as possible. Hi guys!
Something has happened when issuing 3legged calls. This morning started to
get this message when sending a request to list my friends:
friends:{id:friends,error:{message:forbidden: Friend permission
not granted,data:{errorType:noPermissions},code:403}}
The same is happening when sending and reading scraps.

[orkut-developer] [QUESTION] Mass Scrap Backup
Hello! I've been using the Brazilian version of Orkut for some years now, and due to concern to privacy, I'd like to empty my scrapbook out so other users won't have access to previous conversations. Problem is, I have 2460 scraps so far, and I think there must be a better way to clean that history without either erasing my account or going page by page, hundreds of times, erasing the selected ones. Also, should it be possible, I wonder if there's a way I can backup those conversations. I've tried thrice saving an html made from my page in the new Orkut, but my browser couldn't handle that after the 40~50 demand for more scraps. [orkut-developer] API error forbidden: App ID: xxxxxxx is not allowed to do this operation
Hi all,
I've been having this severe problem on an application using orkut
APIs since yesterday (March 10th) afternoon. Before this time,
everything was working fine, and I could log into Orkut through my
application and do some requests through the API.
However, out of the nothing, I just get this error now from the JSon
object:

This app does not have access to the activities API\,\data\:
{\errorType\:\noPermissions\},\code\:403}}]
Does anyone got a similar problem?
Has anything on the authentication changed since yesterday?

Hello, Unfortunately we cannot remove the captchas and we do not whitelist applications... Any application should be prepared to present captchas to the users upon request. We understand that is a challenge for limited devices, and we're trying to find a solution, but we don't have anything for now. It's always better to show a loading screen and fetch your assets asynchronously than to block the app during initialization to load resources. Btw, thanks for the very complete example! The bug is that our algorithm is being too restrictive when controlling 3LO access, so our code is accidentally denying permission to things that should be allowed (like listing one's own friends). [orkut-developer] Many 3LO Calls Unavailable this week
Hi everyone, Just to let you know, we are aware that many 3LO API calls are returning 403 - permission denied and other similar errors. We have already fixed the problem but it will take a week for the fix to reach production. Therefore, some calls in the 3LO API won't work this week, particularly those that have to do with listing friends, sending scraps, etc. Our guess is that the situation should be normalized by Thursday next week.
