Didn't know about the public info url (PublicAppInfo). Just tested and it correctly redirects to canvas if the user has the app installed. I'm a bit confused though since when the app is not installed and I go to PublicAppInfo I'm redirected to AppInfo. Is it safe to link to PublicAppInfo? Just tested this and I have the app installed but I'm not redirected from info to canvas. that's cool. what is better then now - attract existing/new users to the info page or canvas page? It's best to attract users to the app info page. That way they will be correctly redirected. Remember that applications still have a guest mode, which happens when a user who does not have the app views it on someone else's profile (he can arrive there through the via link, for instance). That's what you get when you land in the canvas view of an app on someone else's profile and you don't have it installed. The recommended practice is that applications should have a guest mode in which the user can get a feel for the application without installing it. Applications must not redirect guest users from Canvas Page to the App Info page.
