Hi Ghenry,

you work looks interesting (and packages too).
Have you found way to fix package repository?

Regards.

i don't understand why it talks about localhost?

The publisher name has to match whatever you initialized the repositories
publisher name to when you created it, usually by doing:

pkgsend -s file:///tmp/example_repo create-repository \
  --set-property publisher.prefix=localhost

If you'd set publisher.prefix=ips.enst.fr, then you'd use that name.

but that's not exactly what i want to do. On my laptop, i created, weeks
ago, my own repo, called localhost. This is when i compile myself
missing apps.

But now, i want to add a new publisher, found here:
http://ips.enst.fr:1/

and i'm not able to succeed, i don't understand why? is it possible that
the publisher's owner has misnamed his depot?

I was able to add it using the GUI. The second entry from the bottom.
I even added one package (blender) from there.

yes, but you never added a personnal repository on your machine, have you?
you have:
 PUBLISHER TYPE STATUS URI
 localhost origin online http://ips.enst.fr:1/

so localhost is the publisher name for http://ips.enst.fr:1/, and it
conflicts with my own repo, that i've create some months ago, located at
http://localhost:1/
My guess is that the owner publisher has to change the name of his depot
to not have localhost

[osol-discuss] failed to add publisher?

2010-04-03 Thread solarg

hello all,
on os20xx.xx, b134, i have a problem with publishers. I want to add one
and it fails:

$ pfexec pkg set-publisher -O http://ips.enst.fr:1 ips.enst.fr
pkg set-publisher:
One or more of the repository origin(s) listed below contains package
data for localhost; not ips.enst.fr:

http://ips.enst.fr:1/

This is either because one of the repository origins is not valid for
this publisher, or because the list of known publishers retrieved from
the repository origin does not match the client.

i don't understand why it talks about localhost?
i have:
$ pkg publisher
PUBLISHER TYPE STATUS URI
opensolaris.org (preferred) origin online
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/dev/
opensolaris.org (preferred) mirror online
http://pkg-na-2.opensolaris.org/dev/
contrib origin online
http://pkg.opensolaris.org/contrib/
extra origin online
https://pkg.sun.com/opensolaris/extra/
homeunix origin online
http://ips.homeunix.com:10906/
larchev (disabled) origin online
http://ips.distrans.org/

Where is localhost ? and yes, on this laptop, i created a local
repository, and have a local depot server. But it runs on port .

I'm very confused.

Thanks in advance for help,

gerard
