This individual utilizes company policies and procedures to ensure the systems are provisioned and maintained to meet company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Include: - Perform standard configuration, management, and maintenance tasks for related file systems, storage, and applications. Review and deploy Unix and Linux system releases and vendor-supplied patches according to best practices. Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on all Unix and Linux systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance in a timely manner. Monitor, test, and tune system performance; preserve and provide system log files as needed for compliance purposes. - Coordinate with network, business application, and data administrator functions to configure, install, and implement Unix and Linux systems and infrastructure that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
