[otrs] OTRS backup failure question...

2008-04-10 Thread Craig Meirick
I am trying to get our OTRS system backed up using the instructions provided in
the
manual using the backup.pl script.

Here is what I am getting when this is ran:

nagios:/opt/otrs/scripts # ./backup.pl -d /backup/
Backup /backup//2008-04-10_11-56/Config.tar.gz ... done
Backup /backup//2008-04-10_11-56/Application.tar.gz ... done
Dump MySQL rdbms ... mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user
'otrs'@'localhost' (using password: YES) when trying to connect
failed
Compress SQL-file... done
nagios:/opt/otrs/scripts #

How can I fix this?

Thank you,

The problems persisted on 2.2.6 though. (2.2.6 has read access to

If 2.2.6 won't be able to read any standard answers, old tickets

usage via 2.1.4, this proves problematic.

I have the same problem like you. I have try a upgrade from 2.1.8 to
2.2.6 on a backup machine.

I found the solution:

I have the problem with a dump of the mysql database when it's done with
phpMyadmin.

I have no problem when the dump is done with mysqldump

Hi Snehal,

Did you try the command I suggested?
That would be the first step in order to find out if you can or not
connect with the LDAPSEARCH command line.

Please provide the output of that command setup with your specific

in the mysql database in v 2.1.8, we have in the a_content_type:

in the mysql database in v 2.2.6, we have in the a_content_type:

Hi Snehal Desai

what was the results? can you post the resonses from the ping /
nslookup?

Try with an ldap-browser tool (e.g. softerra ldap browser 2.6 (freeware)
or ldap admin http://ldapadmin.sourceforge.net/index.html )
to connect and browse your ldap directory to ensure, your settings are
correct.

do you have another database connection sessings configured (e.g. for
agent login)
If you work with more than one connection (that if when you use the
"internal" otrs database and something else like the ldap directory) you
have to enumerate each connection definition.

example:

-root authentication with otrs-db (mysql) [definition with suffix 1]
-agent authentication with active directory (ldap) [definition with
suffix 2]
-customer authentication with external-db (mysql) [definition with
suffix 3]

[otrs] User stats

2008-04-10 Thread Arnold Ligtvoet
Hi,

I'm trying to work out a query that will output the agent activity for a
period. I've come up with this query:
SELECT DISTINCT ticket.id, ticket.tn, count(ticket.id) as
NO,system_user.first_name, system_user.last_name, ticket_state.name FROM
ticket
JOIN ticket_state ON ticket_state.id=ticket_state_id
JOIN system_user ON system_user.id=user_id
WHERE ticket.create_time LIKE '%2008-04%' AND ticket_state_id > 1 AND
ticket.change_by = ticket.user_id
GROUP BY user_id,ticket_state.name;

When I set it to create_time in the WHERE clause, the numbers look like
they are possible, however I'm seeing only tickets that were started in
the period that the query runs for and I'd like to see final ticket
states. I've tried changing create_time to change_time however this
gives me unusual high numbers of tickets.

Arnold.
BTW: is everybody getting reposts from the mailing list? I see my own
posts come back and back?

I presume you are using the standard template? If so go into:
\Kernel\Output\HTML\Standard

In CustomerLogin.pl remove:

$Text{"Language"}

  $Text{"Language"}:

In Login.dtl remove:
# --

$Text{"Language"}

  $Text{"Language"}:
  $Data{"Language"}

Done...

Email filters are not working;

I have OTRS in windows using SMTP which works fine. We can
email each other using OTRS.

But when I set Postmaster filters,... they don
them in postmaster filter set up as

Match Header1: TO ---
Value:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Set Header1: X-OTRS-Queue --- Value: Phone (phone is
one of my queues)

 The emails address itself works fine, but they
are not going to the filter queue that I have set up. Any emails that are coming
in to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
are not going to the phone queue.

Do I need
a pop or IMAP for this? Like I said it
receive email from it. Can you please help? Thanks,

Re: [otrs] Zlib uncompress error

2008-04-10 Thread aleem bagwan
Re-installing Compress::Zlib from source may solve the problem. Possible problem
is that dependency modules are missing. Try installing the dependencies of
Compress::Zlib as listed during its installation.

Jeff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I'm getting the following error when
I try to print a ticket from the
customer's zoom ticket page:

Undefined subroutine &Compress::Zlib::uncompress called at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/PDF/API2/Basic/TTF/Name.pm line 110.

Line 10 in my name.pm is:   $apple_encodings[0][$i] = [unpack("n*",
Compress::Zlib::uncompress(unpack("u", $apple_encs[$i])))]

Any ideas what might be causing this? Yum says Zlib is up to date. I
thought that perhaps customer.pl was sending an extra "&" to name.pm

Thanks in advance for any help...

RE: [otrs] Removing the language option from the login pages

2008-04-10 Thread Arnold Ligtvoet

I presume you are using the standard template? If so go into:
\Kernel\Output\HTML\Standard

In CustomerLogin.pl remove:

$Text{"Language"}

  $Text{"Language"}:
  $Data{"Language"}

In Login.dtl remove:
# --
# language
# --

$Text{"Language"}

  $Text{"Language"}:
  $Data{"Language"}

Done...
Arnold.

I have the same problem like you. I have try a upgrade from 2.1.8 to 2.2.6
on a backup machine.

I have on the 2.1.8 machine and on the 2.2.6 the same in Config.pm:

$Self->{'DefaultCharset'} = 'utf-8';

The 2 database have the same configuration

interclassement: latin1_swedish_ci
