Re: [otrs] default e-mail address
Hello Pri Pri. This list is open for your questions and as you can see, people are willing to help. Since you are new with OTRS though, may I suggest reading the OTRS documentation first. At http://doc.otrs.org you can find a list of admin manuals for all recent OTRS versions. Just select the one for the version you have installed (choose 'en' for english). These documents guide you through installing and configuring the OTRS system and will certainly make your life easier. If you still have questions afterwards, please feel free to post them here. Re: [otrs] About database location
As this problem appears to be with mysql, I suggest consulting http://dev.mysql.com/doc/#manual I'm not a mysql guru, but this error message seems to indicate charset problems. Re: [otrs] About database location
Basically the error message tells you that OTRS can't find any user data corresponding to your login name. The next step would be checking the database table otrs.system_user for any irregularities. I'm pretty sure we've encountered the same problem. This was at the time when we were testing either 1.2CVS or 1.2.1. Now that we are using 1.2.2 the problem has vanished. So i guess it would be interesting to know the exact version of otrs you are using. Aargh. Sorry, sorry, sorry I should really go to bed instead of confusing 'subject' and 'to' when writing mails.
