appear in Dashboard->upcoming events.

in dashboard it is viewable to only agent who has put in pending status...can 
we configure it to show it all members of group

i'm currently using otrs 3.1.7 on WIN2008 -64bit,iis7,active perl 5.14 
version.when accessing rpc.pl..i'm getting following error


The page cannot be displayed because the server requires a Content-Length 
header in the request.

i wanted to check if multiple timezones can be set in otrs i.e. an agent in US 
in EST timezone creates a ticket it should be in EST,if agent is in PST then 
time created to be in PST and similarily if in india in IST.

In change module,in involved persons sections i tried adding agents to CAB 
,though auto populate feature is displaying agents available whenever i select 
them the CAB is always blank..

This is the issue i was facing.

Also what is importance of having CAB in change management,i mean i don't see 
any approval for CAB.If you have tried this please let know

please don’t misunderstand my answer but a little more friendliness, 
itemization and detailing in your email will dramatically increase  your chance

Ok, so please explain me what is your problem? You don’t know how to get people 
added to the CAB list or is there an error message that you could provide us? 
“unable to add” doesn’t really tell us what your actual issue is, right?

In order to create a template you have to use as follows:
· Add a class : Admin tab àGeneral Catalog àITSM::ConfigItem::Class
· Copy definition : Admin tab àConfig Item ManagementàSelect an 
existing templateàClick on change class definition
· Select and edit existing definition template to suit your needs i.e. 
Sno,servername,Ip,etc
· In order to make a value mandaton add CountDefault => 1 else  
CountDefault => 0 for optional paramets of CI’s
 
Sample CSV: (which may be obsolete requirement considering the above)
· Create an initial config item using CMDB feature
· Use import / Export feature to export a sample CSV format

You can probably do this by creating a postmaster filter and/or a
ticket event module; this would require writing Perl.
Can I ask for the use case you have for this?

Someone sends in an email: "See the screenshot"... and then you just
scrubbed the attachments! It does not sound very useful to me...

The TicketID ist the Number on which a ticketing system knows the case
to whom the email belongs. You're right, that the default ticketformat
is too long, have a look in the sysconfig in Core::Ticket and set
Ticket::NumberGenerator to some other value than DateChecksum (ex.
AutoIncrement).

It isn't a good idea to reset the counter for this reason, you'll get
many problems with this.

I have installed OTRS ITSM 3.0.2 version on otrs 3.0.7,installation was 
successful however when i'm trying to access CMDB or any other tab,i'm getting 
this error..

Module Kernel::Modules::AgentITSMChangeAdd not registered in Kernel/Config.pm!

Hi,

I'm using otrs 3.0 and would like to know whether we can change "OTRS" logo @ 
right side corner of agent interface.i couldn't get otrs image in images folder.
Also i tried changing productname in config and it only changed  logos at 
browser header,login etc but not OTRS logo @ rightside corner of every page.
If somebody have tried this,please let me know

Hi All,
Below is solution for users who want to use SOAP API for OTRS.Below code is 
written in JavaScript and Using AJAX but can be used in any web language 
i.e.ASP,VB6,ASP.NET etc

1)Paste the code in notepad/wordpad and save it as HTML.
2)In Index.pl interface,sysconfig search for SOAP.Check the 2 check boxes and 
enter UID and PWD as "root"(without quotation).

[otrs] how to get attachment content for images when using api

While trying to create tickets with attachment using api,pls suggest how to 
read content of file for images,pdf,word etc .this is one of the parameters for 
creating attachment.

[otrs] Unicode support for OTRS MSSQL Database

multilingual capability.
Or do we need to enable this(unicode) feature in database.

It’s indeed possible.  You need to call the API via
SOAP.  Here’s the first article on a Google search for using SOAP in ASP
Classic:

I doubt most people on this list would have written anything for
the API using ASP classic, so you’ll need to look at the rpc-example.plscript 
provided

you can use SOAP to create tickets from other applications/scripst/programs.

Search in the Sysconfig for "soap" and also have a look at scrips/rpc-example.pl

Would like to know whether webservices are available for OTRS.i have found site 
where in user has accessed rpc.pl and created ticket using perl and php.

is this the only way to use webservices in otrs.i would like to use asp/asp.net 
for accessing webservices in otrs.is there anyl wsdl file available for this.

have configured for corresponding emailaddress for particular Queue.

[otrs] Auto reply from Same Mailbox problem

Hi,
With OTRS auto reply we are facing strange problem.
we have 4 mailboxes for different businesses,we have auto-reply configured 
respectively for each mailbox.
cases are getting created when mails are sent to this 4 mailboxes,problem is 
auto response is going for single mailbox for all business ,though different 
mail are configured at Autresponse<->Queue

Is it something to do with SMTP setting where in we have Authenticated User id 
and Pwd for sending emails.

As mentioned by u there is ticket no. in subject of "Auto-reply" mail.i have 
enabled references in postmaster module i.e. "PostmasterFollowUpSearchInRefe 
rences",and also other reference related to this like
" PostmasterFollowUpSearchInRaw".still new ticket is created for reply to 
auto-reply.

My Ticket has format like:Ticket#XYZ_123567
Hook=Ticket#XYZ
HookDivider=_
i send mail to mailbox with subject and case is created and
My Auto reply has format of :Ticket#XYZ_123567 followed by Subject

pls help me know where i have to make changes so that new ticket is not created 
when replied to auto-reply and instead notes to be added for the ticket.

[otrs] Reply to Auto reply problem

 Hi,I'm looking for solution in otrs-auto response functionality,currently we have configured mailbox(pop3 enabled),any gent/customer sends a mail ,this would create ticket in otrs.auto response for this also configured,which in turn would send mail to agent/customer for ticket created.This functionality is working fine. Problem is when agent/customer replies to "Auto-reply" message of OTRS,another ticket is created.what i'm looking for is,when user/customer  mails back i.e."replies to auto-reply",this should be added as notes but not another ticket should be created.

There is a 32-bit version of Enterprise 2003 – your organizations
installations of Enterprise may be standardized to 64 bit though.
 
I am running 2.3.2 on x86 Windows 2003 Enterprise R2 and it
works fine – I would expect the same on an x64 platform. If you go with MSSQL,
make sure it is the x64 version if the operating system is running x64.

Dear mr shanker,
First of all, OTRS is completely perl based so if you can access the web 
interface you will absolutely have perl installed.
Second, POP is used for receiving mail. For sending you will need to use 
sendmail or smtp. See the OTRS manual for more details.

setting up OTRS please contact me off-list to discuss.

To start with, is Active perl installation must for sqlserver to work for OTRS?
 i don't have active perl installation in my system.
