Cool :)! If you have made the theme, would you sent it to me or

Thanks a lot for your help!

Actually, the Lite theme is pretty good for my purposes, I'm just going
through and commenting out sections of the interface I don't need access to
(like Is Ticket Answered and Spell Check...)

Re: [otrs] Otrs mobile phone access

2005-06-17 Thread Graham T. Smith
You will get access with a Sony Ericsson using the Opera Browser on
p9xx. How usable this is a moot point due to screen size and aspect
ratio issues.

Nokia 9500 is fine. Probably be OK with 9300 as this is effectively a
9500 without Wi-Fi or camera.

Nokia 9210 will load it at about 9.6kbs a second (so very slow).

Unfortunately factors effecting performance (hence usability) are not
just down to the phone, but also to how the service supplier provides
data services. Using the lite theme will probably help performance, but
as far as I know there is no mechanism to associate a particular theme
with either the location or type of device making the connection. So
unless one wants to use the lite theme for all locations one would have
to manually reset the theme each one accessed otrs from a mobile
device.

A quick look at the spec. for the phone suggests that this does NOT support html. Only short term way to enable access would be to either use a WAP gateway or buy a phone with a HTML enabled browser.

Thats possible already. OTRS is a normal web application which cann be
accessed via a browser. The browsers of mobile phones should be able to
work with the web interface, I know no reason why this shouldn't work.
You can even switch to another HTML layout called Lite, so the interface
is more concise and more useable with browsers of mobile phones, data
traffic is reduced.

2005-05-24 Thread Victor Rodriguez Cortes
Hello!

You're best bet would be to make your own theme, editing the dtl files:

http://doc.otrs.org/1.3/en/html/dtl-theme.html

The lite theme would be a good start point, as it's really simple,
but it may
necessary to make it more compatible with the mobile phones that you're using.

That would be a really nice addon ;)
