RE: Infopath

2012-08-26 Thread ken zheng

why not using Powershell to add the new value? you just need to create a new
form and compare with the old xml to find the XML path for the new column.

Are you looking for the re-link view on the form library? This will tie old
submissions with the newly published template.

RE: Rename URL for host header site collection

2012-08-26 Thread Ishai Sagi
You don't do it on a site collection - you do it on the entire web application
- to do it safest, just extend it to the new URL and test that everything works
before removing the old one.

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a safe and effective way to do this?

Will the SPSite Rename method do the trick? I can't really test this easily
without creating some DNS records for the purpose.

I was hoping there might be a Rename-SPSite command-let out there somewhere. :)

RE: Infopath

2012-08-26 Thread Nigel Hertz
Maybe I misunderstood. The issue I've had previously is sometimes when you add
a new field to a form and promote it to SharePoint, all existing forms
mysteriously show no data in the list. The data is still in the form, but it
doesn't show in any of the list views.
