On Fri Oct 29 08:28:36 CEST 2021 Stefan Seyfried wrote: probably rpm needs to be fixed to again accept keys that were totally fine before the update. So I'd suggest filing a bug against 15.3 rpm package. I very much agree with you that this appears to be an unnecessary problem caused by rpm. But I suspect that a bug report will lead to a response that it's working as designed: https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpm/commit/f22499a05d0a01e35dd10d7644f8d74391ba4222 *Reject unimplemented critical PGP packets as per RFC-4880* Bit 7 of the subpacket type is the "critical" bit. If set, it denotes that the subpacket is one that is critical for the evaluator of the signature to recognize. If a subpacket is encountered that is marked critical but is unknown to the evaluating software, the evaluator SHOULD consider the signature to be in error. So it appears that the evaluating software (rpm) is obeying the spec and appropriately failing, whereas zypper isn't obeying it by virtue of being less strict. Especially given the hostility that so many openSUSE graybeards show toward Packman (and I can't find any other keys that rpm is rejecting in this way) I don't see openSUSE fixing this unfortunately. To me the easiest solution seems to be just creating a new key for Packman. Users will get a prompt, but that will be the end of the problem, and as it is they're already getting loads of errors about the problematic key as mentioned in this thread. It also appears that it's possible to somehow remove the "critical" bit from a specific location in the key, thus "repairing" it and allowing to keep using the same key. https://1password.community/discussion/comment/615922/#Comment_615922 Yesterday we published a fixed version of the PGP key that now works with the newer version of RPM. It's the same key, but we were able to remove the packets that RPM no longer supports. ___ Packman mailing list Packman@links2linux.de https://lists.links2linux.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/packman

If I would accept this request anyway in PMBS the result is a _link+patch in Essentials/vlc. Once there is another change for vlc in OBS the pkg in PMBS will get into failed state because the patch will most likely not apply anymore. To avoid this, branch vlc in OBS and submit it there. Since vlc is in Factory a simple 'osc bco vlc' will work. Then chdir into the vlc dir and run 'osc up -u' to avoid a bug in the current osc.rpm. Also there are style issues with the SR. Most of the changes should have an entry in the .changes entry. 'osc vc' within the vlc dir will open an editor. Mention the change and refer to fixed bugzilla bugs like '(bsc#123456)'. [packman] [PM] FreeCAD 0.13.99+git20140111.2108-1.1 (openSUSE 13.1/x86_64)
Dear Sir, After multiple attempts at installtion, I have found that the PartDesignGui module is missing from your package. Also, several of the workbenches are missing thier icons. Finally, the splash screen states it is version 0.14; however, the developer states they have not yet released that version. In short, your package is broken and is providing false data. As I have never had such an issues with your packages before, and I have been using them since 2007, I presume the matter to be a simple tech error -- e.g. someone clicked on the wrong files to package. Please look into this matter as you are currently the only reliable source for this program -- openSUSE has stalled at v0.12.5, Most Sincerly, MICHAEL S. OLSEN, B.S. Hi there, I wanted to suggest that the k3b-codecs package should have madplay as a dependency, since K3B requires it for MP3 functions and pops up a missing codecs dialogue if it's not present. Re: [packman] jgnash not starting on opensuse11.2
Thanks for the tip. The following is how I got it to work: 1. Use update-alternatives --config java to get jre-1.6.0-sun 2. jgnash.sh : Accept license From this point onwards jgnash launches properly even after reverting back to jre-1.6.0-openjdk. -Rahul On Wed, Feb 17, 2010 at 02:39:13PM +0100, Toni wrote: Am Mittwoch, 17.
