Re: Replay Radio Driver Question
Peter, others may see it differently, but to me it's easier to set up timed recordings in Replay Radio. I still like total recorder for other tasks, but Replay Radio has a database of stations, and you can add to that database with your own favorites, again contributing to ease of use. Replay Radio does offer a 7 day demo. You could give it a try for yourself and see what you think. I believe that the demo's only restriction is that recordings are limited to an hour. s Larry - Original Message - From: "Peter Scanlon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. I was going through the archives and found out there is a list dedicated to podcasting. The email address was not shown. Could someone please post the address so I can subscribe to it? RE: Replay Radio Driver Question
Hi their, You will find if the sound driver is installed and you have told replay radio to use that external driver it will always use the external driver and you will always have to change the configuration back to your sound card of coise!! I use quick mix it's a very good utility you set your preferred settings in your mixer then save them then when you need to use them you just open quick mix and just open the preferred setting of your choose. If I was you I would unstall the external driver for replay radio it causes more problems than it is worth in my opinion. all the best. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ron or Susan Denis Sent: 13 May 2005 1:06 To: PC audio discussion list. Re: joining several mp3s in to 1 file??
This program I talked about to join .wav files will also join mp3 files. It's from www.Splitter-Joiner.com It's $20, and I just registered my copy yesterday, since I have a lot of concerts in .wav files that I have to join into one long .wav file. You can do ten joinings before you have to register, so download it and get used to the program first. Hint: you'll have to use your Jaws cursor and left click on the word Add for Add Files, which happens on the first screen after you close the register screen. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? How do you like it? Is the sound quality 44100 and 16 bits, and how come it comes with Dragon? They don't give a model number on this, so I don't have a way of finding reviews of this product, and you can't return it because it contains software. I'm thinking that if you can download the files from the unit onto the computer, that if it sounds as good as cd quality with their microphone, then this might be faster than listening in realtime to minidiscs. Does it have a microphone input to hook my own one in, or a line in? I'd appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? Try Runbox. 1 gig of storage for a reasonable price. You just have to know what to do with it. In nero 6, you are first presented with a tab control and at least in my version you end up in the multisession tab. If you move one tab over to the left, you can choose what kind of cd to burn, audio, CD Rom, ISO, etc. Once you find the type of cd you want, press the new button and another window opens. You can then copy and paste files directly from windows explorer into the compilation window. and if you look on the file menu at the compilation properties, you can tell how full your cd is before burning. To burn, just go to the recorder menu and press enter on burn compilation. another screen will come up, you can just press the burn button and nero will start doing its thing. If you're burning an audio cd and you want to get rid of the 2 second gap between the tracks, you can press your application key while in the list of files you're burning and go to properties. in thatscreen, find the spot where it says , pause edit, replace the 2 in that edit box with a 0. press ok and burn your cd as described above and you should be fine. P.S.: CD ripping failed
Forgot to mention: I have no problem playing the CDs, just ripping them. Thanks, again. - D - Original Message - From: "Dana S. Leslie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC-Audio" Sent: Friday, May 13, 2005 8:11 AM Subject: CD ripping failed I have two commercially manufactured CDs I ripped several years ago. But I deleted the ripped files to save hard drive space, last year. Now that I have a new external hard drive, I'm re-ripping all my CDs. But, when I try to rip these two particular Cds, the rip fails on all tracks. (I'm using Easy CD-DA Extractor, as my ripper.) can anyone tell me why a Cd should "go bad" like that? Am I likely to have the same problem if I replace the Cds? Thanks. Blessed Be, Dana D. S. Leslie, nÃe C. R.
