Total Recorder: Appending To A File

2005-12-30 Thread Caroline Ford
Hello,

In Total Recorder, does anyone know if it is possible to append further
recordings to a file which already exists, or would I have to create a new
file and join the two together? Is it even possible to join two files in
TR? I have done it in Goldwave but am not sure whether it's possible in TR
as well.

Thanks,

Caroline.

I found a couple reasons why for music 2 speakers is the best way to go. I
don't like that so much reverb gets added to radio on many systems, as if
you listen to some talk at times they sound like they're in a public
bathroom. Music sounds better as recorded, with some equalization and
automatic gain control, but I'm not fond of the added echo. A few systems
 I
heard at stores automatically add enough compression to things that radio
 at
all sounds bad, probably sounds fine for other sources, didn't have a CD
around when I checked stuff out or the knowledge of what the
 manufacturers
actually call it to find where the setting is controlled. That said, most
systems you check out are probably not at factory default settings as many
people play around to see what they can do, and there are many features
 and
options that can be set these days.

Also professional sound cards do have a build in surround decoder.

But I still bring my music with me to the stereo, if I want to relax

 some good music.
But a good set of speakers stereo or surround and a good sound card may
give you a great listening experience.
Just remember that mmp3 music is not at all top of the world in quality,
and this get more noticeable as better a lout speaker system you have.
But there is a trend going on with brand new and much better audio
formats especially for us, who like exelent quality.

Hi Bryan! And I think that'll be a good idea when I get my sound
 system
hooked to my computer. It may be pretty subjective, but since this is
 the
time of year for parades in the states, I'll state that I noticed that
 when
I watch a parade with surround sound, the bands and everything go from
behind me to in front of me, so if you'll be listening to a parade on
 your
 pc, you may notice this!

You can think of your computer as just another audio source like
 a
 CD
Player, a radio tuner, a tape deck etc. Make your computer one of
 the
components of your hi-fi. Your computer probably has a mini stereo
 out
 rather than two RCA outs.

 Hello,

In Total Recorder, does anyone know if it is possible to append further
recordings to a file which already exists, or would I have to create a new
file and join the two together? Is it even possible to join two files in
TR? I have done it in Goldwave but am not sure whether it's possible in
 TR
 as well.

 Thanks,

Re: NeroRe: Premere CD Creator

2005-12-30 Thread Curtis Delzer
I wonder where that checkbox is? In nero 6.6 ultra, making an audio
cd, the only way I've found to illiminate the native 2.0 second pause
is to, select all the files, right click on one of them, arrow to
properties, press enter, then tab to the edit box where the pause is
specified and make it 0, then go to ok and press enter. That is,
making a bunch of mp3s into an audio cd, that is what I am refering too.

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD is
  blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still was
  not
  able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I try
  to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before when I
  was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it there
  was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you could
  burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image it still
  won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics on there
  as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
  information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't want to
  buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

The problem with any surround sound system, is that you must, for the

You can think of your computer as just another audio source like a CD
Player, a radio tuner, a tape deck etc. Make your computer one of the

winning the competition, I'll be recieving 5000 Singapore dollars, and my

I wonder where that checkbox is? In nero 6.6 ultra, making an audio
cd, the only way I've found to illiminate the native 2.0 second pause
is to, select all the files, right click on one of them, arrow to
properties, press enter, then tab to the edit box where the pause is
specified and make it 0, then go to ok and press enter. That is,
making a bunch of mp3s into an audio cd, that is what I am refering too.

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD is
   blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still
was
   not
   able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I
try
   to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before when
I
   was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it
there
   was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you
could
   burn
the CD. Now if I hit cancel when it asks me to save the image it
still
   won't burn the CD.

When I tried using the Premiere CD Creator I saw some graphics on
there
   as
well. I don't know if this feature can be removed or not. Any
   information
that you all may have about this would be appreciated. I don't want
to
   buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

 Jerry and Andy,

I think that what is pertinent here is that you want to go to the On
Demand section of the ACB website, that is, Main Menu on demand. When
you
get there, you usually have to go down several links, until you get to the
section where the separate weekly listings are for On Demand. It took me
a
little bit of patience to get there. Also, there are several On Demand
links; you want to hear that there are something like seven hundred eighty
four links or something, then find your way down the list, past the
convention links and such. It is not all that difficult, but, it takes a
little while to get there. Then, figure out how to enter on and download
 the MP3 files.

Re: Jingle file.

2005-12-30 Thread Robert Hebert
I have just finished listening to your file and honestly, I think it is
altogether very professional sounding.
That is my amateur opinion, of course!

Hi folks. Thanks for the many congratulatory messages I have received. I have
uploaded the file to a place where you can readily obtain it to listen too.
the direct link is http://www.jeffstudio.net/happy_birthday_radio.mp3 Please
tell me what you honestly think after you have listened to it. The female
soloist is a fellow blind Singaporean and a very good friend of mine, Wan Wai
Yee who performs together with me for gigs and the like. Please send all
private comments to [EMAIL PROTECTED] so as not to clutter the list. Thanks
again to all of you. Cheers!

Just a short. I use Nero and have found the checkbox to remove pauses

Hi, To answer your question the CD program doesn't work. The CD
   is
   blank.
I tried reinstalling it back in the computer last night and I still
 was
   not
   able to use the program.

The other question that I have is is there any way to get rid of
   the
graphics when you put Nero in whether it be 5.5 or 6.6? Now when I
 try
   to
burn a CD it wants me to save the image to my computer. Before
   when
 I
   was
using Nero 5.5 with my other computer which had Window's 98 on it
 there
   was
no graphics and it didn't say or ask you to save the image so you
 could
   burn

I don't
   want
 to
   buy
Nero 6.6 if I'm going to encounter the same problem.Thanks.

What happens when you put the cd into a home cd player?

It installs just fine but when I try to burn a CD nothing

 I
   can
add my tracks in and go through the writing commands to burn it
 but
   when
   the
CD is finished there is no files. The CD is empty.

What exactly does Nero 5.5 say when you try to install it?

Hi, When I got my new computer Nero 6 was on it and when I
 tried
putting
Nero 5.5 back in it doesn't work even though I've taking Nero
6
 out
   and
have
deleted all the hidden files. I'd like to know how you're
 still
able
to
use
it. I have another friend who is still able to use hers and
 she
had
tried
Nero 6 too. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to how
I
might
be
able to use Nero 5.5 I'd appreciate them. Thanks.
