I have JFW on one card, and all my other sounds on the other. I often
have both sound cards suddenly crash without warning and I'm not doing
anything. Could someone please tell me how I can fix this?

Hi Michael,

See my podcast on www.blindcooltech.com

It is a 4 part discussion on Nero. It will show you how to make music cd's
and mp3 cd's as well and much more.

I just uploaded it last night and it should be online today or tomorrow.

Re: Cropping mp3

2006-02-26 Thread russell Bourgoin
Hi,

I'd just open the mp3 in sound forge. Play it to the point
where you want to start your clip, hit the enter key to pause, then
the letter i and then enter again until you get to the end of the
clip. Press enter to pause again, press the letter o and now your
segment is the area between the i and the o. Press control c to copy
that portion to the clip board. Then press control n and enter to
open a new file. Press control v to paste uyour segment into the new
file and then save a and name it. That's it!

replay radio 7 question

2006-02-26 Thread Ray Slaton
Hi I am trying a demo of replay radio with jaws seven.
Tried to record a show, but received error message, saying couldn't connect to
server.
I may have it configured wrong.
Right after installing it, I was asked about connection speed.
I was giving a choice of dial up connection or proxy server.
Wasn't sure what to do since I am on cable.
Second question, what is the easiest way to get to the shows that you've
recorded?
I know I can only play fifteen minutes audio using this demo version, I just
need a little more help with the program.
Thanks in advance, and jonathan, what a great review on your site.
Had no idea you were living in the U.S. now.
Again, thanks again guys.

Re: Cropping mp3

2006-02-26 Thread Bruce Toews
Though both Gold Wave and Sound Forge will do it, I'd recommend a program
like MP3 Direct Cut, a free program for which I don't know the URL. But
the problem with using GW and SF is that they will uncompress and
recompress your MP3, meaning you'll lose audio quality.

Re: replay radio 7 question

2006-02-26 Thread Ron or Susan Denis
Since I have dial-up, I can't vouch that my answer is totally correct, but I
believe you want to leave dial-up unchecked. If you have a proxy you should
include its name and port, but if you haven't had to do that previously for
some program or other, you likely don't have one and needn't worry about it.
These choices are located under the settings menu found on the main screen.
Find settings and press the spacebar on it. Shift tab once to be in the list
of control tabs, and right arrow to connections. Be sure that dial-up is
unchecked, and unless you know better, make sure proxy is unchecked as well.
See if this makes a difference.

2006-02-26 Thread Ron or Susan Denis
Open the programM and after getting by the demo messages youshould be on the
about button. Right arrow or tab 44 or pPeErRhHaAps 5 times to play. Press
the space bar. Mmake your selection. Lookk at the menus a bit to know what
options are there.
Alternatively, you can do what I do and listen to your recordings with your
favorite player. Sorry, the rest is mostly upper case. I've fixed the
problem this far in, but the rest you'll have to put up with with upper and
lower case mixed weirdly.
anyway, IF YOU WANT TO TRY AN ALTERNATIVE, YOU GO TO THE FOLDER BY STARTING
WITH MY COMPUTER OUTSIDE THE PROGRAM. next SELECT YOUR HARD DRIVE, AND IN
THE DEFAULT STATE, PRESS P TILL YOU GET TO PROGRAM FILES AND PRESS ENTER.
PRESS R TILL YOU GET TO REPLAY 7 AND PRESS ENTER.
PRESS R TILL YOU GET TO RECORDINGS AND PRESS ENTER. there YOU WILL FIND THE
FOLDERS OF ANY SHOWS YOU HAVE RECORDED. in EACH FOLDER WILL BE THE SHOW OR
SHOWS IF SEVERAL OF THAT NAME, AND THE LOG FILE FOR THAT OR THOSE SHOWS.

I love winamp dsp plugins. I like sound solution for music, and rock steady
for talk. I just wish one could get a hardware box that could run these that
would be small enough to hook through the stereo's tape loop. I really hate

How do you do that? Such things in a hardware form could be quite nice, but
I don't know much about programming, much less how to program an embedded
system that took them.

There's a plugin for Gold Wave called GWAMP. If you have that installed,
you can choose your DSP Winamp plugin and apply that effect to your Gold
Wave file.

Re: AUDIOSTOCKER FOR WINAMP

2006-02-26 Thread Brent Harding
How hard are these to set up? Do they still have dials on to adjust to get
things right? I thought I heard of something from behringer that someone
used that they said they obtained from broadcast supply warehouse, but that
it was no longer being sold. I know many solutions would require using 2
units, one for the left and one for the right, which could get tricky.
