Re: Replay AV 8.02 is available
What does this add to 7 and what's the cost to upgrade? Sorry if I missed this. - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 6:46 PM Subject: Replay AV 8.02 is available Replay AV 8.02 is now available. Read my tips below as they need to fix some very minor things. Replay 8.02 is very accesssible and a major improvement over Replay 8.01. You install OVER the top of Replay AV 8.01. When you run Replay AV 8.02 for the first time. You will get the Hint dialog box. Pressing the spacebar keyboard key or enter key on the OK button will not work nor on the checkbox. Use your route jaws to pc cursor, use your insert+left and right arrow keys to find the corner (which is the checkbox) and do a jaws left mouse click to place a checkmark in this box, then find the OK button and do another left mouse click. By doing all this you have now eliminated this hint dialog box altogether from appearing again when you start up Replay AV 8.02. All the menus work with alt+f for file, alt+s for shows, alt+r for record, alt+t for tools, alt+h for the Help menu. If you forget the shortcut you can use the Alt key by itself and then right arrow for the other menus. To open a menu just press your down arrow key or up arrow key. For example, Alt+f for the file menu then down arrow 1 time brings you to the Settings pull down list and the shortcut is s. To activate the Settings item you can press your enter key or the shortcut letter s. The above is standard Windows method. The way it is supposed to be. To exit the program do an alt+f then x. At this time the exit button you hear on main user interface will not work. Pressing spacebar or enter key will not work. Can someone verify this for me? So use alt+f then x. When you get the warning dialog box asking you if you are sure you want to close, use Alt+y for Yes or Alt+N for No or the Enter key for now. The spacebar doesn't work for now. Or if you have to use your route jaws to pc cursor for the OK button and jaws left mouse click. To minimize Replay AV 8.02 do the Windows key plus M command. The mimimize button on main interface doesn't work with spacebar nor does the enter key. Can some of you verify this to me by posting to the pc-audio list? The List Box on main user interface works just like it does in Replay AV 7.+. You select a show or station in the list box assuming you have already added such item and then do a Applications keystroke and you are presented with the context menu items like: Properties - p, Tune to t, Enter New show N and so on. You can now press either your enter key or shortcut letter to activate the context menu item. Before you had to use your shortcut letter. The old hotkeys like alt+f for the URL finder now use the Ctrl prefix. For example, Ctrl+f is now the new hotkey for the URL Finder and not Alt+f since that is now being used for the File menu. Replay AV 7 did not have a menu bar and this is what caused the hotkey conflict. The application is working great for me and I strongly reccomend it to anyone. No software is bug free. Ask JAWS and Microsoft. I use Replay AV 7 8 everyday. It does the job very well for me. I'll gladly take it if you think it would work also with the IPod Mini 2nd Generation. Right now I'm using the Eloquence Reed which is decent for the most part. Chris. In this new version the space bar does not work on buttons this is a real pain. Its strange that they seem t be making an effort at accessability then do this. You have to route the cursor then lift click. I also labelled the Hide graphic. - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2006 10:46 AM Subject: Replay AV 8.02 is available Replay AV 8.02 is now available. DSpeech Question
Hi all, Has anyone else had a problem in DSpeech where lines aren't read continuously? Is there a way to fix this? I've taken a look at the documents in Notepad and the only thing I see is that instead of being naturally separated by the program, the documents have hard carriage returns in them. Is there a way to remove these or tell DSpeech to ignore them, or am I better off just using Kurzweil? Thanks Brandon Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

WMP 11 and poor audio quality
Hi listers, my husband just installed WMP 11 and now the quality of the audio is muffled, like there is a setting enabled that should not be or vice versa. Even using the WMP 11 EQ didn't help completely. So far the quality is poor when playing an MP3 file or commercial CD. I found a suggestion on the Microsoft site regarding the renaming of ACM files, which didn't help. If anyone has any suggestions, please advise. Thanks, Norma Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: Replay AV 8.02 is available
I think they really broke accessibility by accident. The only 2 things I don't like are that if you tell it to automatically convert files while recording in the background that the conversion process steals focus and that the resulting files have the double extension thing, .asf.wav for example. I wish there was an automatic way to rename such things as commandline rename *.asf.wav *.wav doesn't do it. - Original Message - From: Peter Scanlon [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2006 12:36 PM Subject: Re: Replay AV 8.02 is available In this new version the space bar does not work on buttons this is a real pain.
