OK, Anders, I understand, but can't you switch from swedish keyboar to
American during your work in GW? I also use Macedonian Keyboard but every
time I open the GW I switch the keyboard from Macedonian to American
pressing alt+left shift. And all works as it should.
Good luck!

HellO!
One think that i have problems with in Goldwave is the keystrokes for
selecting.
I am using a Swedish keyboard and i havnen't really found out if it is the
[ and ] sings that is telling goldwave to set start or stop markers or if
its the specific key for the american keyboard which tells it to set the
markers.
When i press the key for the markers and am using swedish keyboard one is
for the swedish letter å and one is for typin accents and such.
Are you understanding what i am talking about here?
Ist very hard to explain it in understandable englis.
Its no my mother language.

GameDay Audio (Larry)

2007-04-12 Thread petrakigianos-giasou
You need to update your version of Replay Av 8 to the latest
version which is Replay AV 8.14. This I believe will fix your
problem with GameDay Audio. If you need the direct URL for the
Replay AV 8.14 file let me know. I am subscribed to this list in
digest format.

There was a known issue where WMP 11 wouldn't playback streams
and Replay AV fixed this awhile back. It happened to me.

So update your Replay AV software. Install over the top of your
existing version.

Re: A.M. Radio

2007-04-12 Thread Mike Pietruk
I don't think that there is one best sight -- just a lot of good ones
that the serious listener needs to be aware of.
One reason for saying this is that no one database has everything.
Another reason is that different websites have differing approaches to how
things are organized.
For example, I often use that streamingradioguide page I posted yesterday
for its handy
having a state's listings right in front of me.
When I want to do an area search, I often use the Radio-Locator site as it
gives me an overview of what the local radio dial looks like.
Billsparks.org works well when I have a particular call letter in mind and
he happens to include it in his database.
Vtuner.com is also great for quick call letter searches.
MikesRadioWorld strong suite is international listing; Vtuner is also
heavy into this.
In short, the avid internet radio listner nees to be familiar with as many
sites as possible and figure out which one to use given the task at hand.

Does the slsv590a interface with a computer via a usb port?
If so, when plugged in, is it recognized as a drive allowing for adding

If so, this sounds exactly like what I am after for the playing of

2007-04-12 Thread Mike Pietruk
I guess I better modify my question as I see, from doing some searches,
that it plays back the mp3 files from a cdr or cdrw.
So, I will modify my question like this:

say I transfer 10 mp3 radio programs to a cd.
Now, I take that cd and put it in the slsv590a.
How do I navigate among the 10 mp3 podcasts to play a particular one say,
for matter of illustration, the 7th one I put on the cd.
Will the unit remember its place if stopped or turned off.

This does sound like a good value for the price.

Re: A.M. Radio

2007-04-12 Thread Mike Pietruk
While those are laudible reasons to recommend Bill's site, anyone who
limits himself to Bill's (or anyone else's site, for that matter) short
changes themselves.
And, as for ease of use, all of the sites mentioned in this thread are
just as accessible and easy to use as Bill's site.
When it comes to choices for internet streams, blind pc users have plenty
of choices of where to go.
While going to

www.billsparks.org

is a great first choice, I hope that if you don't come up with what you
want there, I hope
you go to some of the other mentioned search sites.

And one other thought: sometimes on any of these sites, you may discover
a link doesn't work. This may be for any of many reasons: the station is
no longer streaming, they changed their link, they are temporarily down,
or they are not streaming a parrticular show for contractual reason.

WWhen I come upon such situations, I always check another site or 2 or 3
in the event that a link is broken.
Then, when that fails, go to the station website which Bill and many of
the other sites give you a link to.

Doc

Does the slsv590a interface with a computer via a usb port?
If so, when plugged in, is it recognized as a drive allowing for adding
and the deleting of files?

If so, this sounds exactly like what I am after for the playing of
podcasts in the car.

Re: GameDay Audio (Larry)

2007-04-12 Thread Larry N
Petro, Thanks very much! Upgrading to Replay AV 7.14 has solved my Gameday
Audio problem. I'm now connecting to every game instantly. My thanks to
everyone who offered suggestions, and thanks again to Petro for solving the
problem.

 Petro

Re: A.M. Radio

2007-04-12 Thread Donald L. Roberts
On a closely related topic, can anyone point me to a
comprehensive list of a.m. and f.m. stations which are now or
soon will be broadcasting using the so called HD digital format
in the United States.

Thanks.

I don't think that there is one best sight -- just a lot of
good ones
that the serious listener needs to be aware of.
One reason for saying this is that no one database has
everything.
Another reason is that different websites have differing
approaches to how
things are organized.
For example, I often use that streamingradioguide page I posted
yesterday
for its handy
having a state's listings right in front of me.
When I want to do an area search, I often use the Radio-Locator
site as it
gives me an overview of what the local radio dial looks like.
Billsparks.org works well when I have a particular call letter in
mind and
he happens to include it in his database.
Vtuner.com is also great for quick call letter searches.
MikesRadioWorld strong suite is international listing; Vtuner is
also
heavy into this.
In short, the avid internet radio listner nees to be familiar
with as many
sites as possible and figure out which one to use given the task
at hand.
