Re: cdex questions
how do you get the ultimate rips with eac? - Original Message - From: "Kelly Pierce" To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Saturday, November 05, 2011 9:10 PM Subject: Re: cdex questions I have said numerous times on this list that Exact Audio Copy with the current versions of Lame and FLAC deliver the best CD rips in the world. I continue to stand behind these comments as nothing better has emerged. Yes, EAC requires a steep learning curve, but the program is fully accessible as well as the documentation. I was able to even calibrate my CD player according to online directions without sighted assistance. ffor flawless rips that you will enjoy for decades, EAC cannot be matched. It is still recommended by the major torrent services and the most well regarded file sharers and syndicators use EAC as their tool of choice. Yes, Please post again. I live in Chicago and live two blocks from the the electrified elevated train on two sides of my home. What's worse, there are streetlights in back on the alley and in front. All of this generates incredible electrical interference and I am highly interested in antenna that could cut through this junk. I purposefully don't have WI-Fi but my neighbors on either side do, bathing me and my home in high frequency electro smog. Watching Streaming Video from Amazon
As a Prime member at AMAZON.COM, I am eligible to watch Instant streaming video. My 1.5 MB DSL connection is slow, but it is above their minimum specs. I've tried with both Internet Explorer and Firefox, but the video never starts playing, even after more than the specified waiting time. I have the latest Flash Player installed in both browsers. After writing to their Tech Support about the problem, I was invited to call to get real-time support. Having done that with sighted tech reps before, I doubt it would help. "Do you see the graphic of the jet airplane near the top of the screen? Just click that, and the movie will start playing." I am wondering if anyone on the list has tried watching streaming videos from AMAZON.COM. I would definitely like to watch some of these TV shows and movies, as it would add to the value of Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime is now also giving their members the opportunity to borrow books to read on their Kindles. Unfortunately, the books can't be read with Kindle for PC with Accessibility Plug-in.
