 Hi everyone,
Have any of you ever heard of and/or used a program called Zulu dj for
broadcasting? I've heard that it's very intuitive and easy to use. If
you have used it before, do you know if it supports the use of
shoutcast and the use of Sam encoder? I just thought I'd enquire about
this software because I've come across it a lot while surfing the web.

Problem With Winamp Playlist Editor

2013-06-28 Thread Larry Naessens
Hello. I am primarily a Mac user, but GoldWave is still the audio editor that I
like best, so I loaded it onto a Windows 7 PC. I also loaded Winamp, as WMP and
I have never gotten along that well. With all that in mind, here's my problem.

Whenever I play anything in My Music something called Winamp Play List
editor opens as well and pretty much takes over. I can't close the editor or do
anything with the file except to pause or play it by pressing space when the
editor has focus. Even when the file finishes playing, I can't close Winamp's
playlist editor. I don't recall this problem from when I used Winamp in XP. Can
anyone tell me how to keep Winamp's playlist editor out of the way? ? I only
want Winamp to play the file in question and close when i'm finished playing
the file. Sorry of this question seems simplistic, but I haven't done much with
Windows since XP. Guess I should have kept up with the changes.

Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: Problem With Winamp Playlist Editor

2013-06-28 Thread Kevin Minor
Hi Larry.

Glad you got your issue resolved with Winamp. If you ever encounter this
problem again, first, see if the playlist editor has focus. If it does, hit
CTRL+TAB to get to another Winamp window, then hit ALT+E to close the
playlist editor. ALT+W toggles the Winamp main window.

Have a good day, and don't work too hard.

GO REDS!

Good. Well denny huff from the old blind computing list taught me how to use
winamp for play lists. That is the play list editor. And if you google short
cut keys winamp you will get a whole list of them. And I use windows media
for burning the mp3 files to cds for the car.

You're using Windows 7, do you know what version of Windows 7 you're using?

If you're using Windows 7 Premium and above then you can use the built-in
Windows Media Center tool, its quite accessible with Window-Eyes.

All very much depends on what sort of hardware you're running, the Direct TV
box may have a USB socket in which case a cable is run between the computer and
the box.

I take it that by Direct TV we're referring to some sort of cable or
satellite box right?

You're using Windows 7, do you know what version of Windows 7 you're
using?

If you're using Windows 7 Premium and above then you can use the
built-in Windows Media Center tool, its quite accessible with Window-Eyes.

gOkay, well you'll need to get extra software then as Windows Media Center
doesn't come with Windows 7 Home Edition.

You connect the PC to a TV tooner card instead of a TV. In other words, for
this, think of your PC as a TV. You all need a TV tooner for this.

Yeah, that's the thing. We'll just have to see if he means home basic, or
Home Premium. If he means Basic, then you're right. If it's Premium, then he
has it and all he needs do after connecting the TV box to the toner, is hit
ALT Windows Inter In other words, we're lacking some info here..
