Re: watching tv on my computer?
Juan, The suggestions to use Windows Media Center with a TV tuner seem reasonable until you do some research on this solution. Put DirecTV and Windows Media Center in a Google search and read through the results. You will quickly see how sighted folks have struggled with various combinations of hardware and software to make this work. The accessibility of some of this software may also be a problem. I have DirecTV, but I don't consider trying to make it work with Media Center worth the effort. internet tv
I would like to receive TV programming strictly through my PC internet and connect directly from my router to my internet capable TV. Where can I learn about this? Or, even a tutorial. I no longer want Direct or Dish or other providers. Loren To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Format Factory 3.1.0
Has anyone tried this newest version of Format Factory? Using the latest version of JAWS when I click on an item in the left toolbar a menu does not come up as in previous versions. Do they come up on your PC? Thanks, Dean To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
RE: internet tv
In other words, are you asking for suggestions on internet TV sites? -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Buntemeyer, Loren J. RE: watching tv on my computer?
Yeah, my main problem seemed to be Comcast pretending they didn't know anything about how to do this. But this OT. I just wanted to expand on what you were saying a bit. I do still want and intend to do it though. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Gary King Sent: Saturday, June 29, 2013 12:28 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: watching tv on my computer? oPlayer Light App for iPhone
Hi! Been a while since I've played with oPlayer so thought I'd give it a look. I use oPlayer HD on my iPad so went to get a version for the iPhone, couldn't find an oPlayer HD or oPlayer Pro for the iPhone so will have to make do with oPlayer Light which is free, perhaps people in other countries might be able to purchase the oPlayer Professional or HD app. the oPlayer app is the best media player app I've used for IOS, - I tried VLC but couldn't make any sense of it -. In short oPlayer will play just about any media file type on the planet including all those high quality audio file types such as FLAC, these sound better than say MP3 or iTunes M4A because FLAC files - whilst slightly compressed - are Lossless, meaning that none of the quality in the recording is lost during encoding of the file - in other words if you hear a track from a CD encoded with FLAC then what you hear is exactly what you'd hear if you played the same track from the CD -. So back to the point of this eMail which is the oPlayer app, the app allows you to transfer files for playing in different ways, you can use your IOS device as a FTP client, Windows Sambre client and so on, the Professional version offers even more ways to transfer content including from your Dropbox account if you have 1.
