Re: Multi Room Sound Controlled By Your Android Device
That's cool. They actually sent someone. Yeah I like Bose speakers well enough. My only beaf now is they don't have a 7.1 system at the very least. I have heard speakers that seem to have more highs. Which I love for things like Godzilla 1998's tornado blast roar as the toy boxes always called it. Seriously especially Trendmasters. Ahahahahaha! Right now the crispist thing I have is the JBL speakers in my Samsung TV-monitor. I love hearing Zilla roar on those. You hear the wistle nice and sharp. The Soundlink system 3 did pretty good with this. Shockingly better then the Companion 5 vurtual surround sound USB speaker system. The Soundlink Mini onthe other hand, not so well. The Mini 2 which is now shaped like the system 3 and has the buttons in the same order as the system 3 did a bit better and worse. Wander how the sound touch stuff will do. ducking the bed in goldwave
While trying to mix elements I want the bed to be ducked under the voice element Can goldwave do that or what am I doing wrong? The only mixing function I see is control+m using that function the music bed doesn't duck. Operator error? Ray T. Mahorney WA4WGA
Re: Multi Room Sound Controlled By Your Android Device
Yes, there are differing opinions on the quality of Bose audio - my opinion is that the sound from Bose products isn't what I'd get from other stuff I have - however a couple of things are clear, Bose as a company make products that are easy to use, convenient to use and their service/support is second to none. When I first got the Soundtouch last year I wanted to know how to update the firmware so I rang Bose to ask, Bose asked for my details and I had a chap on the phone next day from Bose who arranged an in-house appointment with me to show me what steps I needed to take, I certainly didn't expect that and was hoping for a read from the manual, the procedure is laid out but the buttons one needs to pressed are depicted in picture form as is so often the case with manuals these days. Has quite nice sound when using it with USB on your computer but Bluetooth certainly needs to be upgraded. Can be used whilst the battery charges. Folds up for easy carrying. Has controls for answering/ending calls, skipping backwards and forwards through tracks and so on. Note that the answering/ending buttons may not work with Skype, this is a known problem with the set. Warning beep sounds when batteries are running down, battery life is around 8 hours. A nice pair of headphones for chatting but nothing particularly special when it comes to music listening, build is terrible so don't expect the headphones to last too long. Re: GoldWave's Doppler Features
Hi! Been a good while since I've used Goldwave I admit so don't know whether you've tried this. Have you looked up the Goldwave Manual under Help? Its a HTML file that gets loaded automatically into your browser and I do know that this document contains an exhaustive list of keyboard shortcuts for Goldwave so link to that and see if you can find something to help you there. I'm having great fun playing around with GoldWave at the moment and am trying to work out how to use the presets and controls in the Doppler area to create different content. I usually find the GoldWave manual really helpful for explaining what results should occur from different actions and what each control does (so that it can be adjusted accordingly) but I feel completely unenlightened after looking at this section of the Help menu. Is there a problem with completing tasks here because of the manual's suggestion of using the mouse or can Jaws be used to create the same results? Sorry for what I'm sure is a very basic question but any help, either on or off list, will be much appreciated. I think I'm using GoldWave 5.65 (I know, I haven't updated for a while) but I imagine not much has changed over time. Many thanks, Danny -- ** Those who don't need help are prepared to help themselves
