Hi List, I had asked this question before, but I didn't get an answer back yet. Perhaps this is not possible, but, Is it possible to keep WE coming out of the PC's audio out, and also, at the same time, use a usb chat headset separately for classroom work. If this can be done, then I would be able to have WE coming through a set of PC speakers while I am working with my usb headsets for classroom work - again, at the same time. To do this just click AlrF for the file menu and hit new and that will clear anything and bring a new editing field up. Just paste your copy there and use the tab key to move around in the keys. You can go through the menues and find the key help list and there it tells you which keys to use to do what? If you have the sappi voices from JAWS, you can use anyone of these on the fly. The main work keys are the F keys. You can also insert a document by hitting CTRO for open and tab down to get to the folder and file you want to enter, hit enter and that file will load. Work it over, sometimes you need to arrange the commas and so fort to make it bread better. To convert it to an MP3 you open the file menue and go down to convert to audio and there you will be given two choices. Just tab to the MP3 and hit enter a but first make sure you save it to your file of choice. Listen to the POD cast, it gives more detail. More on wireless bluetooth multi-media headset
Hi again folks, Please ignore my previous post on the subject of a motorolla H700 headset, What I really need is something wireless and I don't know if the Motorolla is wireless, or even a good choice for my needs. I am in need of a wireless headset for online schooling starting soon. I don't want to spend more then $50.00 for it but would want something with some good quality on both microphone and listening aspects. As school usually is, there will be lots of online material I must read,-and in my case re-read perhaps several times. Hence a wireless set would be nice so I can maybe get up and exercize or something while I'm listening to class materials. I really respect the opinions of the folks on this and other lists and would be truly greatful for any suggestions you guys may have for me to consider. MP3 audio files
Hi all, I have placed all of the MP3 audio files from an MP3 Bible into a single folder on my desktop. All of the files for the entire Book are correctly and sequentially numbered and automatically placed in order in that folder. I hit enter on the first file which begins to play in WMP. AWhen the first file is done, everything stops. WMP won't play the next ordered file until I go and hit enter on it. Question: What do I need to do to the Bible folder in order to make the computer's media player play the files one after the other without stoping - just like what naturally happens when you were to put the original MP3 CD into your CD drive. You may or may not have to restart your screen reader for speech to be redirected through the new sound device, depending on several factors. In the case of Window-Eyes, you can easily change the output device of it's built-in DEC-Talk access32 speech without issue. Even NVDA has provisions for easily swapping output ports through ESpeak or sapi5. Jaws, in typical fassion, requires more work to keep it's output locked to a specific device, which is further complicated by the fact that it tends to use the default preference for local-service when started as a system service, rather than the logged-in user's preference. Depending on the system configuration, they are not necessarily the same. BTW, for anyone looking at USB headsets, I highly recommend the Cad U2 USB mic/headset combo ($39). Beats anything I've ever seen from Logitech, Labtec, Plantronics and the like, in terms of both mic and headphone audio quality. I gotta get this off of my chest
Please be so kind as to forward this onto anyone and everyone who can help me out with this matter; and please do it in a timely manner. Thank you! Sorry for the cross posting folks, but I gotta get this off of my chest: Let's see. What time is it? This is the year 2009, right? Technologically speaking, it seems that mankind has come a long way. We regularly fly people around in outer space, or explore the depths of the ocean, or the depths of our DNA, or the depths of quantum physics. We are daily dazzled with digital sound and pictures. We regularly communicate on several high-tech devices, sometimes all at the same time. And of course, we can go on and on with our good and wonderful accomplishments; many of which were had without sight. Yet, and it must be simply because you are a visually blinded individual, it is important to notify everyone around you with the loud sound of a bong or ding or some stupid rooster crow that you wish to know what time it is. Furthermore, again, because you don't have the use of eye sight, it must be important for you and everyone else around you, to hear the words, the time is now, or, the time is... It must be important to incorporate these extraneous, unnecessary expletives in order to snap us unfortunate blind people out of the foggy stupor we were in when we reached for our timepiece! Oy vey! I'm going to develop a device that must by law, be put into all visual clocks that produces a loud bong or ding accompanied with verbiage that states: the time is now; every single time a sighted person simply glances at a watch or clock to see what time it is! What the heck is wrong with this world! Where is all this ingenious brilliance we see displayed everywhere else? Why can't we have a watch that simply tells us what time it is without all of that extra, extraneous stupidity added? Why if I happen to be near my computer, I could find out what time it is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean; and that without one stupid bong added. I want blue tooth timepieces with a blue tooth ear bud! I want what everyone else on this planet wants: - Privacy, independence, expediency, and dignity coupled with a deserved level of intelligent consideration! I know, I know. I shouldn't use so many explanation points in my writings. But, on the other hand, I get one or two of them every time I wish to know what time it is. Would anyone of these clock or watch manufacturers like to ask a blind person what he or she would like in a timepiece? I want a meeting with everyone of them, and right away too! I just pressed a button that snapped me out of it to let me know that time is running out on such ignorance. Please pass this along to anybody who produces radio alarm clocks, clocks and watches for the blind, and be sure to tell them that their time is up! And furthermore, make it more then affordable for us as well! My new usb headsets and microphone
Hi again all, Well like I said, I just got into wanting to learn how to use a usb headset with microphone. Anyway, I just downloaded Skype. I tried out the test call and recorded a test message. The test message for Skype was played through my speakers, and my voice / return test message was played back through my speakers. How do I get the Skype to be played back through my headsets and still have the ability to play music or Dec Access32 through my speakers. Hi, I'm selling a realitivity new Tascam FW 1884 if your interested. The unit was only tried out over a three month period and is back in it's original shipping container and packed away. Asking only $850.00 plus shipping anywhere in the U.S. and Canada unless you have more options for shipping outside the USA. I have since found four and purchased and am pleased with the results. My goal with my recorder and mics in addition to recording music and ambiant sounds is also to create audio drama. The easiest way for me would be to have a mic on all of the actors. I am looking at a few different mixers, the one that appeals to me the most is the Behringer UBB1002. My mics end in 1/8 inch male connectors, and I have a pretty good feeling this mixer uses XLR connections. Should I purchase 1/8 to XLR adaptors? Is there a better mixer you can suggest that is relatively inexpensive (under $500 prefferably) that will give me good quality and be easy to use for the visually impaired? I am also interested in getting a mic stand that is compatible with the H2's mic stand adaptor (the small stick that can be screwed on and off the bottom of the recorder). Is there a good mic stand you would suggest that can get up to a good height and also has boom?
