Re: YouSendIt plug-in for Replay A V

2007-08-05 Thread Mark Vincent
brian don't know if this is strictly related, but the menus aren't red out
when using replay AV with jfw 6.20.
Replay tech wouldn't able to shed any light on this, and has been the case
since replay 8 was released in November.
the menus do however work when using jfw 8, I am led to believe.

Subject: YouSendIt plug-in for Replay A V

Hi

A PC Audio list member wrote to me and ask whether I could script around the
plug-in
for the YouSendIt utility. This allows you to record programmes and
immediately have them Emailed to someone else.

I have now done this. When the sign in screen gains focus, the virtual
cursor gets activated so you can create a YouSendIt account or sign into
your own. Within the programme properties dialog, when you are asked for
the email addresses to send the recordings to and to add an optional message
the virtual cursor again is automatically activated.

There is an issue relating to the licence agreement, where the buttons are
not accessible. This can be easily scripted for, but now I have accepted it
I cannot see the screen so will probably need to install onto a second
computer to do that.

The rest of the Replay programme looks extremely accessible with no
scripting required, but if anyone thinks of anything else before I share
this file please let me know.

2007-07-24 Thread Mark Vincent
hi trace, just taken a look. try the following.

1 on the home page hit enter on sign in, and then enter on create new user
account
2 performing search is done via the search field, which is on every page.
enter artist or track, and tab to the conmo box to search by track etc.
by default it will search by artist.
the price is indicated in the search results.
3 when you place an item in your basket, and paid for it then it tells you
which format is available.
there is however a link entitled high quality MP3's, which lists albums
available in MP3.
4 if the tracks are not MP3's, there will most likely be window media
format.
this can be played in windows media player, winamp etc.
note however not all MP3 players will play protected WMA files, especially
when running rock box.

did I miss anything out?
If so email me privately, and I shall expound further!

Hi

Hope I've got its name correct.

Just been on there and can't seem to find where I'll find out how much each
track costs, how I sign up and how I put money on to my balance etc.

Also, how much of their music can actually be downloaded in mp3, rathe r
than the other format who's name escapes me, can the other file format be
played in windows media player ok? I think I've seen that format somewhere
in the settings in there.

Once registered when can I choose to download as mp3?

Some basics of how to do everything from start to finish would be very

Hi everyone. Next Saturday, Comcast is coming out here to install
digital cable and I will have a box on my mom's TV since she watches
more TV than I do. I didn't want to spend the money to upgrade all
the TVs in the house and was hoping to use Slingbox to get digital
cable on my PC, but I did have a few questions.
1. For those of you using Jaws and Slingbox, how is the
accessibility? Will I need sighted help to install and/or set it up?
2. If I install Slingbox and my mom is watching something on her TV,
can I watch another channel on my PC at the same time?
3. Do I need a TV tuner card on my PC? I do have one, so that
shouldn't be a problem.
4. Is there anything else I should know before going forward with this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Lynn

finding MP3 players in Australia that can run it. I'm concerned, probably
needlessly, about purchasing an MP3 player overseas, in case I can't get
chargers, etc, that will work in Australia.

yes, the latest build now supports the 80GB Ipod video.
I have the 30GB model, and only purchased it a month before rockbox started
supporting the 80GB model.

The other advantages of these models are that they can (with a few
accessaries) be made to record audio and video from line-out sources.

yes that is certainly true for the shuffle.
Although you can copy and paste music to the shuffle, you will need to use
rebuild to make the files actually play.

I could be wrong but from the experience I've had with shuffles, you
have to transfer your music over to them with Itunes or another
player which can manage Ipods, when you just transfer MP3 files over
to an Ipod as say an external drive, the Ipod recognises the files
as data and not music.

Hi,

Audacity uses the same selection model as most windows
applictaions, so to select and delete from the start
to cursor:
1. Make sure the track is selected (see Jaws guide for
details)
2. Press shift + home, then delete.

Full details are given in the Jaws guide I've referred
to in another post in this thread.

2005-12-27 Thread Mark Vincent
Hi list.
I would like to rip my music collection to at least 320. How might I do
this? Have been playing around with goldwave but, it wont let me rip to
that level.

Any suggestions?
Most of the music is either purchased online legally, of from existing
cds.
