2007-03-23 Thread Scott Berry
Hi Chris,

IKt sounds like in the preferences menu there may be something going o. I
don't really have time right now to find it but if you go to:
http://www.northlc.com/~sberry you will find the audacity list and much more
i actually run the site but you can find quite a bit there.

Re: Audacity weirdness!

2007-03-23 Thread Scott Berry
Is it due to anything in the preference? I guess I never heard itl. What I
heard is Audacity taking a while to pause with software speech. Wonder if
thgis should be filed as a bug maybe. Anyone on the Audacity regular user's
list. i have too much email to join at the time.

Yeah I use Goldwave also. One of he things I dislike very much about
Audacity is the way you can go in to Effects in Goldwave and just choose say
for instance 5 second echos.

Re: Jlc's Internet TV Program

2007-04-24 Thread Scott Berry
I don't klnow. My main question would be are these supported by
Real Alternative. These meaning the extensions some of the stations use. I
have used both Real POlayer and Real Alternative and came back to Real
Player because it wouldn't play my home state's radio station that I like to
hear in the mornings. jBtw just incase people are interested the program is
calle Music with Don Woods and it is on from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mst. You can
find more about it at www.wyomingpublicradio.org.

Hi all,
Is anyone using audacity? Wondering how JAWS or WE -friendly it is? looks
like it does lots of stuff.

Also, anyone else buy the Ion ITTUSB turntable? How is it?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think one can link the plugins into say goldwave? From what I've read the

plugins are a bit better than some of the ones in goldwave?

Yes yes, I know that's a subjective question. It's really something I
should check out .. one of themany projects I need to check out.

Hello there,

I am having trouble trying to get the microphone to work on Vista. I have a
Sony Vaio Vgcra820G which has two places to hook up the mike. I have it in
the headphone/mike port now but when I use for instance, Goldwave to try to
record I just get hiss no volume. Can some one guide me in the proper
procedure on how to set up the mike for recording please?

Re: Goldwave, Realtec AC97 and the Audigy NX 2

2007-01-19 Thread Scott Berry
Daren,

I wonder do you have Total Recorder it would work much easier that way I
think than Goldwave. Total Recorder is more set up for that sort of audio.
Then you could pull it in to Goldwave and edit it if you like?

some very difficult popping going on

2006-01-08 Thread Scott Berry
Hello there list,

I have some serious popping going on when I pasted tracks in Sound
Forge for an interview that is going to go up as a podcast. I have
both Sound Forge 6.0 and Goldwave 5.0. Can some one give me some help?
When I try to bracket it I can't quite get it good enough for my liking
so I am wondering if there are some features that can help me reduce
this to nothing or almost nothing. Thanks much.

New Audacity list for the blind

2006-02-23 Thread Scott Berry
Hello there guys and gals,

Scott Berry here. I have set up a new Audacity list for the blind. It
is not working perfectly but messages and subscriptions are going
through fine. So some fine tuning is in order. You may however subscribe at:

Audacity is an open source recording program. It's strong feature in
my opinion is that it can do multiple tracks.

Brian,

I would disagree with you. They are trying to make it accessible as
much as they can but you have to speak up they can't read minds. So if
something is unaccessible they are open for you to tell them that.

Re: New Audacity list for the blind

2006-02-25 Thread Scott Berry
Hi Brian,

The newest version is I think 1.03 which is in beta stage. But now
they have left and right bracket support and many keystrokes. If you
are interested in learning more please read my signature and subscribe
to the Adacity4blind list. We are also working on getting a few lead
developers in the list so that they can take comments and suggestions
or if not that at least a form where you can submit the bugs and it
goes right too them.
