Re: Voipbuster

2005-08-12 Thread James Dean
It's farely accessible but you do have to use the JAWS cursor a lot. Also,
it is not based in the US. It is based in, well, wherever the youro currency
is, because in order to take off the one minute call time limit, you have to
add one youro to your account. A friend informed me that after they are done
beta testing the program, that they will be getting rid of the one minute
time limit, and he says he got that from a person at the company that makes
this software. I hope he's right. Another thing, it does not work well over
a dial-up connection, well, not mine anyway. Whenever I call someone, such
as my cell phone, for instance, all I hear is digital buzzing. It's really
hard to describe the sound. For the moment, though, I wouldn't even bother
downloading it. However, I'll continue to keep an eye on this program and
let all on the list know of any further developments.

Hi
Still having the problem of Windows Media still playing cd's. things I
have done.
in Windows Media tried to change File association to play only video but
their is no check box for doing so , does this have something to do with
control panel and Administrative rights?
In Winamp, I have checked play cd in winamp, check all in file association
but after I save it I go back in and none is what is checked.and checked
restore preferences on start up.Is their a way to get windows to ask what
player you want to be your default player? Think I check don't ask me
anymore.
I'm blind and using Jaws screen reader.
Any help would be appreciated.

Select the folders you want to find out about with either ctrl down arrow if
the folders are not right together and hit space to check the ones you want
or if they are right together just use shift down arrow until you get to the
end of what you want. Then let up on these keys and fairly quikly press
alt+enter. then root JAWS to PC, hit ctrl+home, then arrow down through it
and ti'll tell you the size of all the collective folders...

Hey you can do it with Easy CD DA Extractor. When you open the program, and
go to the output tab, it's a checkbox labeled "Single file output." Check
the box then go to the list box of tracks which in the latest version does
not speak but it is the only place where you hit tab and JAWS says nothing,
so just hit f8 there and off you go!

Hi Paul,

Someone else might correct me here, but as far as I know you'd have to use a
separate Program such as MP3 Direct Cut, or GoldWave once the individual
tracks had been ripped with CDEX.

Cheers,

is it possible to rip the contents of a cd into a single mp3 file using
cdex? if so, how do you do this.

Thanks

Thanks Hank! I didn't know that either, and yes, I forgot about the status
not being told. It use to do that in easy CD DA extractor six, JAWS would
tell you the status of the tracks, but now they did something to the
interface and JAWS will no longer tell you! but that command does
help...insert numb pad 8!

Just install whatever player you want to be the default, and that
should make it so. In other words, the player that you installed will
be the default, not Windows Media Player. Hope I could help...

Re: microphone

2005-06-29 Thread James Dean
Don't check your line in volume, check your microphone volume! If you do not
see the microphone option, go to volume control, hit alt, go to properties,
it should be the first menu item. Hit enter. Next, you will find two radio
buttons. The first one says, "Adjust volume for playback." The second one
says,, "Adjust volume for recording." Make sure the "Adjust volume for
playback." radio button is selected, then hit tab. make sure that the box
that says microphone is checked. It might be a good idea to also go to the
adjust volume for recording radio button and check the microphone box there
too. Next, go to each of the radio buttons in turn, and tab through until
you get to microphone. Make sure the volume is set to 100 percent in both
the recording and playback options. It might also be a good idea to go to
that properties dialog and look for a box that says, "Show advanced
controls." Check that box. Then, tab back to the microphone volume, tab past
the mute check box, then you will land on advanced button. Hit space. There
should be a check box in this dialog that says, "Microphone boost." Make
sure this box is checked.

Hope I could help...
