Re: Burning audio discs

2008-10-01 Thread Gary Schindler
I am wondering if Don is using the classic menus in WP 11 because I think he
could find the burn menus a lot easier that way. I don't often use windows
media player to burn so I don't remember how to put classic menus on within
the player.

Hi Don. OK, after the Burn menu button I have: sync, sync menu button,
Media guide button, service menu button, select a category button, Layout
options button, search edit box edit, search options, library tree tree
view, Primary view list view, hide basket btn button, untitled play list,
basket list view list view drag items here, seek left slider, rotate
metadata icon button, turn shuffle (on or off), turn repeat (on or off)
button, play button, mute button, volume left right slider, switch to
compact mode button. There is no start or stop button here as I have not
selected any files for burning. The option will only appear once files
have
been selected for the purpose. If you find WMP difficult to use and
cannot

resolve your problem then it might be worthwhile using another burner. I
use Nero express, version 6.3 and get good resultsI am using JAWS 8 at the
moment but still got good results and found it accessible when using JAWS
7.
I didn't have Nero express when I had JAWS 5 so don't know if it would be
so

accessible but versions 7 and 8 work fine. I have no idea how much it
would cost as I imagine you would have to pay for it if you don't already
have it. Another option is to use express burn. This is free and is very
accessible and easy to use (easier than WMP. Walter.

Don, Launch WMP. the first thing you should hear is; Windows media
button.
Then: Minimize windo button, Restore down Windo button, close windo
button,
now playing button, now playing menu button, Library button pressed,
Library

menu button, Rip button, rip menu button, burn button and then burn menu
button. Once you get to burn menu button, press the space bar. Make sure
the Audio CD is checked. Once you've done this, escape out of the context
menu and then exit the player or try to burn your disc. Walter.

When I try to burn an audio disc, after pasting the files in the
temporary
folder and opening the wizard, pressing the NEXT space bar, the burn
begins immediately in a beta format. I previously burned 6 audio discs
with the audio-beta selection. I found nothing on the drive properties
to
restore the audio-beta selection. I am using Windows Media 11 and Jaws
8.

Help anyone?? Thank you, Don

RE: Burning audio discs

2008-10-01 Thread Cornell Ligon

Hi don,
Walter illustrated how to access the bur menu perfectly. Open the player and
tab over about 10 times. Hit space bar on burn menu and you should see option
for audio or data cd. Once you check or recheck audio, you can then proceed, as
you normally would by dragging and dropping your files onto the CD drive. The
player should open once you select burn to disc.
Then, once the player has opened again, you can then tab over to the section
that lists your songs. Once you’re sure the songs you selected are there, I
believe it’s only one more tab over to start burn button.

This is not the optimal use of the player’s directions for burning, but it’s
the same way I do it – just copy music files onto the drive with disc inserted;
followed by burn to disc; followed by player opening, tab over to see your
files there waiting to begin the burn, and one more tab over to start the burn.

The orthodox method for WMP burn procedure goes entirely through the player,
but I haven’t gone that route before.
Tinker around with the player’s features by tabbing through the entire set. The
player has a lot nice features such as the graphic EQ, SOS Wow effects for bass
enhancements and surround sound, preprogrammed EQ settings such as rock, rap,
blues, swing speech, default and etc.

Best Regards,
Cornell

RE: Burning audio discs

2008-09-30 Thread Cornell Ligon

Hi,
I'm currently at work and this box has WMP 9, which hasn't been set up yet. I
wil check it out when I'm home, so it will either be during the overnight or
some time in the morning. I know once the player is open, you can tab or shift
tab through the different features/buttons of the button, but I don't know of a
direct short cut key to take you to that tab, or how many tabs over.

Best Regards,
Cornell

When I try to burn an audio disc, after pasting the files in the
temporary

folder and opening the wizard, pressing the NEXT space bar, the burn
begins immediately in a beta format. I previously burned 6 audio discs
with the audio-beta selection. I found nothing on the drive properties to

disc ... or: make a beta disc for computer playing. In the Windows media,
the: start burn tab is missing after the basket drag ... tab. Any more

Don, Launch WMP. the first thing you should hear is; Windows media button.
Then: Minimize windo button, Restore down Windo button, close windo button,
now playing button, now playing menu button, Library button pressed, Library
menu button, Rip button, rip menu button, burn button and then burn menu
button. Once you get to burn menu button, press the space bar. Make sure
the Audio CD is checked. Once you've done this, escape out of the context
menu and then exit the player or try to burn your disc. Walter.

Open the player, tab over to burn optins and hit audio even if it’s already
checked. Then try to burn your music disc.

I had this happen a few weeks ago and corrected by doing what I listed above.
