Re: Dj software for the iphone
I can’t comment on the latest version as I’ve not used it for a while but I think you had to add various Apps to automate though it could be done, the best thing to do is to follow Bossjock on Twitter and from there you can see what everyone who owns Bossjock is doing and how they’re doing it. Boss jock is compatible with a Multi App Interface that many other IOS use, can’t think of the name at the moment but the shot of which is that many Apps can be used in conjunction with each other to enhance the end result. > On 11 Dec 2015, at 8:43 AM, Robert Williamswrote: > > > When one track is finished playing, will the next track that you've placed in > the cart, automatically fade in? > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Dec 10, 2015, at 2:59 PM, Dane Trethowan wrote: >> >> Well I can’t really tell you all that much more than I’ve already mentioned. >> >> When you open the App the first thing you see is a whole lot of Cart Players >> on the screen - how many players on the screen depends on the sort of IOS >> device you’re using, if you’re using an iPad you’ll see more -, you can add >> more players to the screen if you like. >> >> Each player is associated with a track or jingle so you set things up before >> you start broadcasting or on the fly whilst you’re broadcasting. >> >> You can say set Dart Play 2 to use a file in your Dropbox or iTunes and >> likewise the same with other Cart players on the screen, switching between >> them at will whilst you’re broadcasting, full monitoring is standard as >> you’d expect. >> >> The output of your broadcast can be recorded for logging purposes or >> streamed etc. >> >> Extra effects can be added. >> >> You can use the built-in microphone of your IOS device which sounds rather >> good - particularly if you turn off noise cancelling - though I’d recommend >> an external microphone. >> >> >>> On 11 Dec 2015, at 6:58 AM, Jed Barton wrote: >>> >>> ok, so tell me about this program a little bit, sounds really cool. >>> >>> On 12/10/2015 1:35 PM, Dane Trethowan wrote: Try Bossjock which is very nice and I’ve been using it here now for a few years. Re: Dj software for the iphone
Well I can’t really tell you all that much more than I’ve already mentioned. When you open the App the first thing you see is a whole lot of Cart Players on the screen - how many players on the screen depends on the sort of IOS device you’re using, if you’re using an iPad you’ll see more -, you can add more players to the screen if you like. Each player is associated with a track or jingle so you set things up before you start broadcasting or on the fly whilst you’re broadcasting. You can say set Dart Play 2 to use a file in your Dropbox or iTunes and likewise the same with other Cart players on the screen, switching between them at will whilst you’re broadcasting, full monitoring is standard as you’d expect. The output of your broadcast can be recorded for logging purposes or streamed etc. Extra effects can be added. You can use the built-in microphone of your IOS device which sounds rather good - particularly if you turn off noise cancelling - though I’d recommend an external microphone. > On 11 Dec 2015, at 6:58 AM, Jed Bartonwrote: > > ok, so tell me about this program a little bit, sounds really cool. > > > On 12/10/2015 1:35 PM, Dane Trethowan wrote: >> Try Bossjock which is very nice and I’ve been using it here now for a few >> years. >> >> Very accessible. >> >> You can bring music into Bossjock using a variety of methods including >> Dropbox, iTunes and so on. >> >> The App is compatible with other Apps which is handy if you wish to stream >> from Bossjock over the Internet or automate. >> >> >>> On 11 Dec 2015, at 3:55 AM, Robert Williams wrote: >>> >>> >>> >>> Sent from my iPhone >>> Is anyone aware of good compatible dj software that wkill that works well >>> with the Iiphone? When one track is finished playing, will the next track that you've placed in the cart, automatically fade in? Okay here's the web site so you can get further information and the App itself. I did ask the developer if he would consider writing an Android version, that's how good it is. I just opened the App on my iPad Mini and its amazing how many Cart Players can fit on an iPad Mini screen, counted at least 20. http://bossjockstudio.com/ On 12/11/2015 8:43 AM, Robert Williams wrote: When one track is finished playing, will the next track that you've placed in the cart, automatically fade in? ok so here's the big question. How would i hook up speakers, and have it so that voiceover isn't going out over your DJ speakers? also, can you hook up an external harddrive to this? Re: Dj software for the iphone
You can set Bossjock so that you'll hear Voiceover but Voiceover will be invisible to the sound Bossjock generates in other words the output of Bossjock - whether you stream or record or whatever - and its associated effects or plug-ins - have nothing whatever to do with Voiceover. There may be ways to connect hard drives but why would you need to bother given that you can associate Bossjock to a Dropbox account or iTunes on your IOS device depending on your needs. I suggest you have a look at the web site or follow Bossjock on Twitter to get the feel for the App or buy the thing and have a play, its a fascinating little App which won't break the bank.
