Re: Infrarecorder - I Found A Problem

2009-08-22 Thread graham stoodley
I did, Brian. It's the new one that doesn't like to burn an audio CD on my
computer. I was getting to like the program, too, but some hits from Google
suggest my disk drive may be prone to this problem, although Express Burn
seems to succeed, so I am moving forward. Thanks for your help.

I installed Infrarecorder, and have successfully burned a data disk. I
can't burn an audio CD, however. I have 5 .wav files that I want to make
into an audio CD, and I go through all the steps including burn
 compilation
to disk, but, when pressing OK, the CD simply ejects with a message Write
Buffer - OK or Cancel. This may be my TsstCorp sh-s23 drive, but I
 thought
I should ask if any Infrarecorder user has successfully made an audio cd
from .wav files before I abandon the program. All suggestions gratefully
 received.

Randy,

Since you've not used a burner till now, and since you're only backing up
MP3s, and since it doesn't seem as though you're gonna be using any DVD
burning software in the future, why not use a trial version of a reliable
well known burning suite such as Nero. There's lots of info and audio
tutorials for Nero 6, 7, and 8.

Alright than :)
I will just add that infrarecorder is a few megs in size while nero takes
about 100 mb and it has lots of features which we really don't need and
which are better to use with other programs, and plus, there is portable
version of infrarecorder which can be taken everywhere on the usb stick and
used on any windows computer that has dvd or cd burner.

ok randy,
it's very very simple.
start infrarecorder.
on the file menu choose new project, and thenn data dvd.
now you get 2 windows one where you find select and copy your files from and
an empty one where you simply paste the files into.
Now when you have done that just go to the action menu, and choose burn
compilation and decide which kind of disk you wnanawanna write.

This should get you started.

outdated CDRWIN program. Can you tell me if it has a Verify function for
checking the integrity of the burn after the CD or DVD is burned?

ok randy,
it's very very simple.
start infrarecorder.
on the file menu choose new project, and thenn data dvd.
now you get 2 windows one where you find select and copy your files from and
an empty one where you simply paste the files into.
Now when you have done that just go to the action menu, and choose burn
compilation and decide which kind of disk you wnanawanna write.

This should get you started.

Since you've not used a burner till now, and since you're only backing
up MP3s, and since it doesn't seem as though you're gonna be using any
DVD burning software in the future, why not use a trial version of a
reliable well known burning suite such as Nero. There's lots of info and

1. Can Infrarecorder convert mp3 files to CDDA on the fly?

2. Does this program support over burn?

3. Does Infrarecorder have a mechanism for normalizing
volume?

Thanks.

If your source folder containing all the MP3 files is below 4.5 gigs then
use the burning software to find this folder and designate it for burning.
Experiment and if it doesn't work then send the list any messages you may
have received. You may also want to press F1 or alt H and look for a help
menu and look for any topics available for reading.

there is one thing wrong with the tutorial I send you!
everything is right exept from one item.
when you have something selected you must add it via the edit menu, add.
then things will work fine for you.
