Sound Forge Pro 10 navigation issues

2010-06-15 Thread Jamie Kelly
I'm using SF with Snowmen's Jaws scrips. I've somehow changed a setting as I
now can't use the arrow keys and the page up page down and left and right
arrow keys to navigate and select audio. I've look at the scanning options
settings with no success either.

Any clues to solve this would be much appreciated.

I am finding using the I and O keys to mark selections very inaccurate with
this version of SF. Older versions have been 100% ok. (Just one of my many
frustrations with SF 10) and I can't go back as no prior versions seem to
work with Win 7 64.

Thanks, Jamie

Hi Jamie,
I'm only using SF7 so can't really help. IN Snowman scripts for 7, there is a
setting alt-control-numpad5, which toggles between Standard Stop Method and
Original stop method.

I've had a problem for a long time wwhere I get unwanted feeback from Jaws each
time I hit those navigation keys. The souns goes forward or back and plays, but
I got this stuff about going in and out of menues.
Anyway my point is that Snowman helped me last weekend and told me to set it to
Standard Stop method and then re-train the transport controls with
control+alt+shift+t.
It worked for me. So I wonder if there is this training mode in the SF10
scripts.

Tonight at CUG someoen said you had a very good mobile phone with good keys.
What model is it?

Hi Peter,

Yes terrific, worked for me too, thanks that is a great tip to remember both
those functions.

I still use an N82 which is similar to the n86. Good to see you part of the
CUG meeting again.

Cheers,

Jamie

Sound Forge Pro 10 navigation issues

2010-06-15 Thread Tony Swartz

Hi Jamie,

I ran into the same issue. What I found is that in version 10 of Sound
Forge, it's possible to set the zoom ratio so fine that it appears that the
left and right arrows and page up and down have stopped working. Press the
down arrow quite a few times to increase the zoom ratio and see if that
helps.
