Re: Winamp is making me mad
As Peter said earlier, use what you want but bare in mind if you do and you get yourself into a pickle with Winamp then don't expect too much support for a product that's no longer being developed. I bought a Winamp Pro licence and I was very glad I did but that was quite some time ago. I think my main annoyance about Winamp is not the software itself - though it has its problems - but the absolute twaddle talked about Winamp, its the only solution for blind people, we need to sign a partition to pressure AOL into continued development, there's no accessible alternative and so it went on. I liked Winamp because it was versatile however the software started big, bloated and damn unreliable in the last few years I used it, so much so that I had to look for an alternative player, I very much liked Windows media Player but unfortunately WMP wouldn't play a lot of formats that I took for granted when using Winamp, the next choice then for me was VLC. As for VLC not handling Bookmarks? Well again, more piffle. Re: Winamp is making me mad
What's the use! why do people just make mountains out of molehills for themselves, if the player is playing up and its not being developed then it would be the perfect time to look at alternatives. I had a similar issue, uninstalling winamp, deleting all the folders both in program files and aplication data then installing it again fixed it. - Original Message - From: "Mike Bernard" To: "'PC Audio Discussion List'" Sent: Tuesday, May 26, 2015 2:09 PM Subject: Winamp is making me mad Hello everyone, Help!
