tagging media files

2013-04-18 Thread André van Deventer
Hi all

I have a specific cd which when I rip it to my hard drive only displays
track numbers and no tag info.

I would be willing to rename the files as such but is there a way to simply
have the whole directory changed so that the names of the files become the
names in the tags. I could do this by hand of course but is there an easier
way? Just wondering.

I use Windows Media 11; it just puts the titles in right out of the box (I
didn't have to do anything special) now if you're using a newer version of
Windows Media, it may work differently; I know that with Cdex, you have to
"tell it" that you want to put the titles on the tracks (never can remember
how that's done) but I'm sure that in Windows Media, there's a way you can
accomplish what you want to do; I just don't know what that would be off the
top of my head!

It was strange. The only reason I can think of was that at that stage the
ced was not in the media player's data base.

Re: tagging media files

2013-04-23 Thread Robert Doc Wright
What is the basic syntax of tagging. I have this problem with ITunes where
every now and then I'll place a file in the iTunes library and it shows as
"gw?".
When you give unto others whether or not they give to you in return, It
matters not for your job is Complete and your rewards forthcoming.
