Another of the links mentions that he uses a "variety of equipment" including stuff that does well at high ISO for his low light work. You have such a great eye... always like your stuff... but for me there is a bit _too much_ going on.. The expression on that woman's face with the one fry in her hand is the focal point for me, juxtaposed too with the few faces in front of her most closely. If it had been mine I'd crop left and right and trimmed the OTF line across the top off to bring her in to more prominence... That's odd looking - I am pretty sure it is a wasp - order hymenoptera (same order as ants and bees). It looks to me like its abdomen is missing and it bears the hind half of another individual's abdomen sticking into it's thorax via a stinger - was it thrashing about as if it was wounded? Maybe it lost a fight. I'm on a Facebook hiatus as well, although in my case it's a self-imposed one. My only problem with these photos is Flickr. Flickr is always fuzzy on my phone. Have no idea why that might be but it rather pisses me off. The photos appear quite lovely (I am imagining them with Walkerian sharpness and technical brilliance). I caught brief portions of the closing segment of CBS Evening News a few minutes ago. The feature was a 72-yr old photographer, retired architect who does arial landscapes, cityscapes and other interesting stuff. Show at the Smithsonian of his shots of the bellies of planes overhead. I was trying to photograph this visitor, but it was tricky for a combination of reasons, and after a few attempts (64 trigger actuations), I gave up and returned to what I had to do. However, I am still curious what this insect (I assume it is an insect) is. So, I choose to "Ask the Audience". Lots of fun! Nicely layered facial expressions and activity in the frame. The right side is wonderfully just right with head position etc. The right side a little less so, but it’s still a great frame. Nice BW rendering to my eye as well. The godaddy web builder software has a preview for both desktop and mobile device to use before publishing, which is pretty cool, since so many folks are consuming information on mobile devices. I did do a bit of tweaking to the layout to improve how information viewed on mobile devices—but nothing major. It converts pretty darn well. Also, godadddy’s support is 24/7 and pretty awesome. Folks are really, really nice. Coincidently, I called yesterday to confirm that my photos were downloading slow because the files were too big. Once that was confirmed I made a lot smaller file sizes, then republished, then posted the link to PDML. The first person I spoke to said she attended Truman College for a time years back and still lives in neighborhood. Amazing.
