Wonderful gallery, Rick. Love the Church interiors & the garden scenes. Surprised they have a bar on the beach. Pentax sighting - ancient history
Part of our recent trip was on a cruise ship with Ian Wright, British photographer as one of the presenters in the lecture series. His main theme was the Beatles whom he had photographed extensively. He flashed one slide showing a composite of “the boys” all showing off their nice cameras. I him asked for a copy of the print of Ringo and his Pentax, when he got home he printed same and sent me a nicely matted 8x10. Which I won’t post out of respect for his copyright… Well, I may do a quickie of the Pentax portion of the print. I agree with Bruce! - the interiors are my favorites.. but enjoyed the entire tour. One nit -- I'd like to see less beach in that shot of the town from the water's edge... especially since that rock or whatever to the right and a bit down from the woman who is walking away from the camera is grabbing my eye. cropping just a hair above that rock will make the vista more stunning I think. ann On 12/27/2018 10:48 AM, Bruce Walker wrote: Those church interiors are stunning, Rick. Fair Use, Perhaps? It certainly is improper, unethical and illegal to download copyrighted images to sell, to use for commercial purposes, or to pass off as your own. Is it, however, improper to do so, with credit to the copyright owner, for critical or educational purposes, or to introduce someone to the work of that photographer, or to illustrate a point about photography? Sorry. Blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. I am somewhat familiar with Ian Wright's work from my teen years when I was in a rock 'n roll band and we all devoured anything we could find about the Beatles & the rest of the British Invasion, although callow youth that I was, I didn't learn his name until much later. Yeah, I know "There ain't no sanity clause!" However ... some non-photo G.A.S. Several years ago* I acquired a Fender Bassman amp that had been converted into 2x10 combo amp. https://flic.kr/p/2crUBoz Although it's a beautiful amp and the conversion was well done, it's always kind of bugged me because the original configuration of amp head & speaker cabinet allowed the amp head to be used with a number of different speaker combinations.
