Biggest gallery of the year - a great way to end 2020. It's been a challenging
time for everyone so let's hope for a better 2021 with lots more photo

19 submissions this month with some great images - Paul's "To the Heavens" and

Note: The automated submission process usually works well but it's not
infallible. So, if you made a submission and you don't see it in the gallery,

My K5 had irreparable inaccurate auto focus. It was good outdoors as long
as the subjects were neutral, but tungsten light, actually any light other
than broad daylight, rendered the AF useless.
The first few runs of the K5 had a variety of issues, all fairly major. My
understanding is most of them got fixed as the camera matured.

Looking online I found that you can selectively color individual icons. I don't
want to selectively color individual icons. That's BULLSHIT!

The Yahoo problem is bigger. Every time Thunderbird checks for new emails (about
once every 10 minutes for as long as I keep Thunderbird open) it pops up a
browser window with a login prompt that has *NO CONTROLS*.

The browser window is on top of every other window I might have open at that
point.

If I attempt to log in by selecting my Yahoo ID it comes back with a message
telling me to "enable cookies in my browser and try again".

I have cookies enabled in my browsers, and I have all of the scripts I need to
use Yahoo as webmail enabled in NoScript.

And Yahoo are complete shit at technical support, even if you can dig down far
enough to find a way to contact them.

I moved from a K10D to a K-7, and was very happy (for a time) with the
sensitivity of the sensor. I also liked the appearance of the photos.

When the K-5 came out, I waited a year for the bugs to get squashed, and then
got one. I’m still using it happily.

My son and daughter-in-law just retired my old K10D, but only because my son
needed something he could do video with for his work. He got a Sony; not sure
what model.

I'm not having it try to get me to log into Yahoo, it did change the
default colors and font, and reinstalled the broken reply button, (I had
to install an plugin to get rid of it, since they helpfully removed that
option), but eh, it's a free tool so I'm not going to complain too
much.  I'm sure there's a setting or plugin to give control over the
Yahoo nonsense, but I can't tell you what it is, since I don't have that

I do wish that their programming team would actually read the email
standard and adhere to it instead of making things work the way /they/

I remember flying with my Vivitar flat field 90-180, a dense chunk of

Much more dangerous than any pocket knife but the TSA took off the lens

It's all theater and safety doesn't actually measure into it, and if it
did flying would be so onerous that everyone would rebel.
